Villaggio Mare Suites

Wonderful Stay! We had such a lovely experience at Hotel Villaggio Mare Suites. The room was spotless, spacious, and had a beautiful sea view that we never got tired of. The location was quiet and peaceful, but still close to everything we wanted to explore. Elaine at reception was so warm and helpful from the moment we arrived. And Gerasimos, the owner, was absolutely fantastic – friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring. They both went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They even helped us arrange a rental car and gave us great recommendations for places to visit around Crete from hidden beaches to amazing local restaurants. It made such a difference to our trip. We felt completely looked after and relaxed the whole time. Can’t thank them enough, and we’d go back in a heartbeat!

We had an amazing stay at Villaggio Mare Suites in Crete! The staff is incredibly friendly, the rooms were very tidy and we felt really welcome. The swimming pool was amazing, clean and refreshing! What I probably loved most about our stay at Villaggio Mare Suites was the peace and quiet (apart from the wondrous sounds of the crickets of course). We used the handy e-bikes a lot. It was only around 4 km to the center of Chania. And the closest (beautiful) seaspot near the stay was only a 2 minute bike ride away. We recommend!

Perfect cleaning of the room. Nice swimming pool with enough sunbeds. New accomodation. Perfect location for us; just outside of (touristy) chania. But close to a small strip with some nice and cosy restaurants.

My girlfriend and i stayed 9 nights at Villaggio Mare Suites and it was honestly one of our best holidays ever. We were looking for a relaxing getaway with beautiful beaches, a cozy place to stay, and a charming town to explore. This was exactly that. The location was close to the lovely city of Chania and near amazing beaches. The accommodation itself was so beautiful and peaceful. The pool was very inviting, and the fact that it didn’t use chlorine was a plus. The surroundings were full of flowers and plants, which gave the whole place a welcoming, homey feel. Our apartment was well-maintained and comfortable. The bed was incredibly soft, we slept like babies! Another highlight was the staff. The whole team was so friendly and helpful. We had some lovely conversations and got great local tips. They made us feel right at home. A special thanks to Gerasimos for his kindness and hospitality! :) As two young women without a car, we appreciated the rental bikes available directly at the accommodation. It was easy to get to the nearby beaches by bike, and although you can cycle to the city, we found the bus to be a more convenient option. Important mention: we felt very safe, both in the neighborhood and at the accommodation. Definitely LGBTQ+ friendly as well. This was the perfect combination of relaxation and exploration. We absolutely recommend Villaggio Mare Suites to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable holiday in Crete!
