Enjoying a stunning location right on the most beautiful beach on Mykonos, the newly renovated Sunrise shines brightly. The entire team goes out of their way to deliver a truely heartfelt service, the authentic, Greek food is delicious, and the beach club is quite simply unmatched.

Overall, it’s a good hotel, but there are areas for improvement, such as: The shower door allows water to run into the room; they could add some sort of barrier there. There are candles on the balcony, but no lighter. When we asked for one at the beach, they gave us matches, but they were impossible to use due to the wind. There should be music playing at the beach, pool, or restaurant. It feels a bit dull after a while. While there is music in the lobby, it’s missing elsewhere. Meanwhile, the neighboring hotel has a great atmosphere with music playing at their beach and lounge, plus they also sell cigarettes. The price for a 1-liter bottle of water is €7, and the restaurant prices are much higher than average compared to restaurants in the city or the neighboring hotel. Since transportation is a hassle, the high prices for drinks and food at the hotel feel like a rip-off. You’ll need to rent a car if you want to visit the city, otherwise, a taxi will charge you €50 one way, so each trip will cost €100. Be mindful of that. We chose this hotel for its beach, so we had a nice time and didn’t need to travel to another beach to swim.

A little gem surrounded by the unspoiled natural beauty of Agrari Beach, is reminiscent of old Mykonos. We loved having breakfast in the garden and walking leisurely a few steps to the breath-taking beach of Agrari. The room was very comfortable with a wonderful sea view. The hotel is operating under new management and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended for Greek food lovers who enjoy swimming in the Cyclades and want to relax and enjoy time with friends and family!

Summary: stay at the neighboring Agrari Ninemia Suites. The hotel grounds are stunning and match the pictures. The pool and restaurant are fantastic. Where this hotel falters is with hospitality, maintenance, and care. I booked five nights and checked out after four. The rooms are dated and uncared for. The bathrooms are quite pathetic with the shower itself barely functional. It’s honestly quite sad as this hotel has so much potential. I really wanted to like it but once I saw how the other hotels in the areas maintained their rooms (and that the price was the same or less), I cannot excuse Sunrises lack of care towards their patrons or hotel rooms. Overall, for the price you can find much better accommodations at the neighboring Agrari Ninemia Suites. Sunrise Hotel feels more like a motel once you’re in the room. Skip the headache and find another hotel.
