Hotel was incredible, very clean and upscale. The service and room were amazing. Extremely comfortable and completely luxurious. Everything we wanted to do in Athens was a 10-15 minute walk or less, many restaurants and coffee shops are within a 1 minute walk. Perfect to explore the plaka and acropolis. We had the most incredible dinner with the best view of the Parthenon at night possible. My wife and I Honeymooned here and will be back!

My wife and I stayed at the Electra Metropolis in early July. Our three night stay was perfect. From the moment we arrived the service we received was phenomenal. My wife is very sensitive to noise and our room was fantastic. We heard no noise and the house keeping was great. We will definitely be back

We recently stayed at Electra Metropolis Athens and booked a Deluxe Room, expecting a more premium experience. Unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The balcony, which we paid extra for, was completely pointless — the only view was of surrounding building walls and we were constantly hit with strong restaurant smells. It was completely unusable, and definitely not worth the upgrade. What’s worse is that there was no clarity at the time of booking about what to expect from the Deluxe Room. For the extra cost, we assumed a better view or at least a more enjoyable space, but that was far from reality. When we raised our concerns, the hotel’s response was disappointing. They offered each of us just a single drink or the option to move to another room on the same side of the building, which would have changed nothing. It wasn’t worth the hassle. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful throughout — it honestly felt like they didn’t care about guest satisfaction. We strongly recommend avoiding the Deluxe Room. You’re better off booking a Classic Room — it offers the same experience without the inflated price. Overall, we were really unimpressed with what the hotel offered, especially for what we paid. Definitely not what you’d expect from a supposed 5-star hotel.

Among the hotels in Athens, I'm particularly fond of Electra. That's why this is my second stay here after 2022 (and I've stayed for a whole week this time!). However, to be honest, compared to the pleasant surprise of my first stay, many detail-related issues have surfaced this time. I hope this hotel, which enjoys unique advantages, can make improvements and live up to its own positioning. First, let's talk about the strengths. Its location is arguably the most superior in Athens. The restaurant and swimming pool on the rooftop are truly remarkable (perfect; if I have to nitpick, the space beside the pool is limited, making it hard to find an empty sun lounger at times, and the cleanliness of the restroom attached to the pool needs enhancement). The front desk staff are enthusiastic and professional. The rooms are clean, simple, and spacious (some room types have extremely beautiful balconies). This time, I'd rather focus on some shortcomings in the details, which are clearly inconsistent with its five-star standard. 1)We had three people staying in the room, but most of the time, we were only provided with one bottle of water, and on some days, no bottled water was replenished at all (unless we actively called to request water delivery). 2)Due to our itinerary arrangements, we stayed in three different rooms this time. However, each room had varying degrees of poor drainage in the shower or sink (the most severe case was a shower room that was almost unusable due to a clogged drain). 3)Despite having three people staying, we were only given one set of toothbrushes. 4)Severe noise problem: After midnight every night, the street becomes extremely noisy (with the constant clattering of glass bottles or the drunken shouting and singing). The windows look sturdy, but their sound insulation is clearly inadequate. These are all shortcomings in detail management, issues that should not occur so frequently in a five-star hotel. In addition, perhaps due to the post-pandemic boom in the tourism industry, the guests staying at the hotel are noticeably of mixed quality, leading to some ridiculous elevator incidents we experienced. 1)Several elderly white women, disregarding the facts, shouted loudly at us with extremely unfriendly expressions, claiming that the elevator was going down and forcibly pushed us, who were preparing to go to the rooftop for breakfast, out of the elevator. 2)Another time in the afternoon, two obviously drunk white women, holding wine glasses filled with wine and burping, reeked of alcohol in the elevator, sized us up with unfriendly glances, and deliberately whispered unkind remarks (they foolishly assumed we didn't understand English, haha). The hotel should explicitly inform all guests that getting drunk in public areas of the hotel is not allowed. This is basic etiquette. It shows that people who can afford the room rates are not always well-educated.

Great hotel in an unbeatable location – right in the heart of Athens! You can walk to almost everything. The highlight for me was definitely breakfast on the rooftop with a direct view of the Acropolis – absolutely stunning way to start the day. Food was fresh, tasty, and enough variety. The staff were friendly, but service could be a bit more attentive at times. Nothing major, just small things that make a difference. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Would definitely come back. Solid 4 stars!
