Descrizione

AZADE is noble, kind and free spirited and is inviting you to enter its private world of true Cretan Hospitality. Azade is in the heart of the Old City of Chania. The building, a 17th century Venetian and Ottoman villa, has a rich history. Notable among its former owners and residents are American poet and artist Charles Henri Ford, as well as an Ottoman Pasha whose name sadly eludes records.

AZADE is located in the heart of Old Town Chania, offering amazing views towards the Sea and the Venetian Old Harbour. It features 9 ultra spacious Suites with amazing decor that combine the original materials of the 17th Century Old Villa with modern designs and amenities. In the middle of this Medieval building there is an open yard with a water fountain, ideal for al fresco dining, that takes you back to its Venetian and Ottoman past!

Welcome drinks upon arrival, in room VIP treatments, along with its Cretan based 'cooked to order' breakfast in the yard and its extensive wine list, make AZADE your ideal home in Chania!

Its central location is also ideal for visiting Chania's amazing cobble stone little alleys filled with flowers and bougaivilleas, and some of the island's award winning beaches like Balos, Elafonissi, Seitan beach and Falassarna.

We spent a few weeks through the Greek islands and stayed at 4 other hotels. AZADE was by far our favorite! It’s nestled in the old port town of Chania in a 17th century building that has been completely renovated. They kept the charm of the building but gave it modern beautiful rooms. It’s a small 9 room boutique hotel, the food was fabulous and our room was huge! The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable, and the manager even gave us the best recommendations for dinners. You have to walk about 200m with your luggage as there is no parking (anywhere in the old port) but it’s not a difficult walk at all. This hotel is a must and we will definitely come back again.

Azade where do I begin... Let me get it out of the way by saying this was the greatest Hotel stay of my adult life. My Fiancée and I spent 4 nights here in June and it was something neither of us will ever forget. We arrived very early due to our overnight ferry, Azade served us the outstanding complimentary breakfast and got our room ready early! From there we ate at their recommendation for basically every meal night and day. The food was off the charts regardless of where we went, the maisonnette room was stunning and comfortable with everything you could need. We were located in the heart of all the action, with a 15 minute walk to beautiful beaches to our left, and amazing dining and night life to our right. Special shout out to Artemis for helping me make plans literally months in advance as well as any given day that we stayed as guests. The staff treated us like friends and I wish I could thank them all individually by name. I am deeply grateful for this experience and if it weren't for the 7500 mile distance between me and Crete, I'd visit Azade every chance I got. 10/10 if you stay in Chania you need to stay here at Azade!

Contemporary rooms in a historic setting in the heart of the old town. Cretan breakfast very generous and fantastic fresh orange juice. We parked on street near the Avea old factory - and dropped off some of our party with luggage near entrance to historic old town. We had hand luggage so no problem.
