Astron Hotel Rhodes

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, near the city’s Elli Beach. It is situated on a quiet street, surrounded by cafés and markets. The breakfast is varied, the staff is excellent, and cleanliness is at a high level. The room is small, but it suited us just fine. The gym is modest, with a treadmill and a bicycle. All in all, we highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at Hotel Astron in June and overall had a positive experience. The hotel is in a great location – very close to Elli Beach, and strategically placed for exploring both the new and old town, as well as for island day trips. If you’re renting a car, there’s plenty of parking nearby, which is a big plus. Rooms are on the smaller side, and ours didn’t have a full balcony, just a French one, so that’s something to keep in mind when booking. The bathroom was also very small, which was probably the main downside of the room we had — I can’t say if it’s the same in other rooms. The bed was comfortable, and cleanliness was excellent – towels and linens were changed daily. The hotel is older, but recently renovated, so everything looks clean and updated. It’s a boutique-style garni hotel, with breakfast included, served on-site. The staff was polite and accommodating, and they helped us with a room change, which I really appreciated. My only other minor complaint is that breakfast could be a bit more varied, as it was pretty much the same each day. Overall, I’d say the price-to-quality ratio is very fair, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient base for exploring Rhodes.

You pay for a 3 star hotel, and that's what you get. Clean rooms, perfect location with many amenities around, staff is okay and breakfast could have more options! We had an issue with a third party provider, and instead of them solving the issue, they charge us a small amount of daily fees, and said we should find the solution.

The staff was very attentive and friendly, the rooms were clean, close to the beach and walking distance to many places, Sofia at the reception was very attentive and gave me her own medicine when I got sick.

In a relatively quiet street, with excellent amenities available - lovely supermarket 50 yards away, nice cafe bar just across the street, close to Elli beach, near to the delightful Johnny's Pub and to a plethora of restaurants and shops. Could quibble about the quality of the breakfast, but it's standard for that Hotel class. Staff very efficient and helpful. We'll be back.
