From Athens: E-bike Day tour to Peloponnese

A unique guided bike or e-bike and wine tour through the vineyard of Nemea; one of the most important viticultural regions of Greece since antiquity and one of the oldest known wine growing regions of the world. This is also the region where, according Greek mythology, Hercules had vanquished the monstruous lion and then, the Nemean Games; an event little inferior to the Olympic Games, took place to honor Zeus. You will visit the archaeological site and taste the wine of the local grape variety of Agiorgitiko.

ITINERARY

In the morning you travel to the Peloponnese, through the Isthmus of Corinth and reach the area of Corinth. Your cycling tour starts from Ancient Corinth; on the foothills of the fortified hill of Akrocorinth. You ride through a picturesque rural area towards Ancient Nemea, where you visit the sanctuary of Zeus and the ancient stadium. You continue cycling through this very important viticultural area and visit a local winery, where you can tast local wine. You ride further and eventually arrive to the extended beach on the south shore of the Corinthian Gulf. Possibility for lunch and/or coffee break and swimming. The ending point of this beautiful cycling tour is very near. Transfer back to Athens.
