Aar Hotel & Spa Ioannina

Where do I even start, the service and the people that work at this hotel are absolutely amazing. Nothing but love, respect and truly special hospitality! The help that these people who I now consider my great friends have provided me and my family, will be unforgettable! Not a single bad word to say and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Food is amazing, cleanliness is amazing, service is amazing, everything is amazing about this place. Much love and respect to all the workers who helped me and my family out of a very bad situation!

This hotel is really one of the most interesting hotels I have ever stayed in. From the outside, everything is all right, but when you go inside, yes, you encounter some strangeness. For example, there is nothing about insulation in the hotel, you need to take this into consideration and come to your room, a lot of sound comes from the corridor. Apart from that, the comfort in the room, the beds are very good. I think the balcony in the rooms is great. I stayed in the period when the weather was a little cooler, frankly, I would have liked the room to be a little warmer, but I could not heat the room in any way. Although I went to breakfast very early, yes, as written in the comments, the eggs are really cold, which is quite interesting, I think they show a special effort for this. Finally, in the morning I talked to the lady at the reception for 40 minutes to invoice for my company, yes, not really 40 minutes, maybe even 1 hour, can it be so difficult to invoice for the company? She also wanted to take the tax I paid from the online booking site again, she insisted that I pay 2-3times 10€, I insisted that I did not want to pay this money again because I had paid this money and finally gave up.

Other than the not maintained pool, the staff at the pool was extremely unattentive and rude. Also the food prices were above average!

I booked a stay here for 3 nights in June. The gym was not available (which was one of my main reasons to book this facility). The breakfast had cold boiled eggs from the day before and spam instead of bacon. The premium standard is definitely not met by this resort. The staff is very unfriendly and smokes on the balcony instead of tending to customers. On the second night, at 3 am!! a pipe bursted from under the sink in the bathroom, water got all over the room including 3 other neighbor rooms. Nobody was at the reception and I waited in the lobby until 8 am. When the staff arrived there were no excuses or refund offers. Don’t book this hotel if you need medical assistance. I got a panic attack and get really anxious when the water bursted. I knocked on the room next to me, and a Greek couple managed to close the pipe with a towel. Very unpleasant experience that would have been more acceptable if the staff would have at least apologized…

Deceiving. Definitely not a 4 star hotel resort and spa experience and the photos definitely don’t match what you actually find when you get here. Extremely poor maintenance and management of the hotel, many broken things, gym non existent, spa services not actually available, pool doesn’t open till 11:00, no staff at the hotel at night but at the same thing full access is possible to just anyone during those hours. One of the rooms doors made an alarm sound every time we opened it.
