Descrizione

Iniziamo scendendo al letto del Vikos dal villaggio di Monodendri. Camminiamo in un ambiente vario, relativamente accidentato in pochi punti, facile per la maggior parte del percorso. È una gola che in alcuni punti è ampia, in altri stretta e la sua attraversata offre una combinazione unica di breve durata (7-8 ore) e ottime viste. Ci riposiamo in luoghi panoramici, come le sorgenti del fiume Voidomatis, uno dei fiumi più puliti d'Europa, e terminiamo nel villaggio di Vikos, o nel villaggio di Mikro Papigo
