We spent a spectacular week at the hotel. Evelyn is a delight and treated us wonderfully. The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was excellent, with variety and quality. The hotel has stunning sea views and right across the street is a beautiful cove, perfect for relaxing. It's also very well located, close to bars, restaurants, and a supermarket. An experience we will definitely repeat!

The main and biggest problem is that the hotel couldn’t find our room, even though we had booked and paid for it. The hotel itself decided to send us to another 3-star hotel on the completely opposite side of the island. The hotel does not look like a 4-star property — more like a 3-star. The rooms are old, the mattresses are old and dirty, the bathroom is small, and there’s mold in the shower cabin. The air conditioner is old and very noisy. The breakfast is not tasty, and it’s extremely hot in the dining room where the food is served, as well as in the lobby area. Some of the staff were not very friendly. The only good thing was the large pool and the beach across the road. I’m glad we only stayed at this hotel for the last two days — I definitely couldn’t have spent a whole week there.

The brown hair recepcionist is very rude not accomodating at all. The blond lady is the opposite so if u have chance avoid the first one. Other hotel staff is super nice. Thers no towels until 10:30, if u go on a trip they will not help you, they also will not inform you that the towels are from 10:30. Food is not very fresh, don't recomend dinners. The rooms are ok, the hotel is cute.

2025, the hotel now has new owners who have scaled the breakfasts down and are adding new coffee machines. The rooms are cleaned every day and the beds made. The pool bar menu is good, but doesn't have food much after 5.pm, The pool has clean towels to use for guests. Generally the staff are excellent. The reception staff, Evelyn and Marian's, are so helpful and go out of their way to help, ordering cabs, booking trips and speak excellent English. . This review was for 2023 A really lovely hotel, and the staff were so helpful, especially Marianne on the reception, would definitely stay again

First visit to Greece and won gold ! What a great resort Porto Skala Hotel Village is. The swimming pool and its surroundings are large and there is plenty of room for all. The area, including the pool bar, is also very clean and well maintained. Drinks at the bar are a bit pricey, especially spirits, but probably normal for hotels in general. There is an amazing food selection every morning and evening. Special mention for Maria and her staff for the huge variety of food served, particularly her delightful desserts. In general, all staff were attentive and polite. The hotel is situated a long walk from Skala, but there is an hourly shuttle bus to and from for a small charge. This also makes the resort quiet, and there is no evening entertainment. Skala itself is pretty, clean, with many good taverns, restaurants and a well-preserved Roman Villa. Opposite the hotel are 2 pebble coves perfect for snorkelling amongst the large variety of native fish, only downside is access via the rough steps would be challenging for anyone disabled. Steps make up a lot of the route to the rooms which are clean and airy. A bit outdated but perfectly functional with a great mattress (always a worry for me) efficient A/C to counter the 37°C we had during our stay and a small balcony to sit out on to listen to the cicadas. WiFi was slow and a bit sketchy during high demand periods but sufficient. Overall, the strengths clearly outnumbered the weaknesses, I would happily recommend the hotel to anyone and intend to return one day.
