Tholaria Boutique Hotel

We absolutely loved our stay at Tholaria. The property is beautifully designed with breathtaking views and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Our room was elegant, clean, and very comfortable, and the included breakfast each morning was fresh, generous, and delicious. The location is ideal — tucked just at the edge of town, offering peace and quiet but only a short walk or quick motorbike ride to the centre. What truly made our stay special was the incredible hospitality. Our host was warm, welcoming, and so helpful — from offering great local tips to helping us arrange a motorbike and providing lifts to and from the port. Tholaria was the perfect base to enjoy the magic of Astypalaia. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend it.

If you are looking through the reviews to try and decide whether or not to book Tholaria.. Just go ahead and book!! You won't be disappointed. The hotel itself is such a nice place to stay, great views and rooms and thats before we even mention the service/staff. We stayed for one week in July. Nothing was an issue for the staff. Maria picked us up at the port and helped inform us of local attractions as well as ways to get around. (We walked a lot and used the Astybus) Breakfast was freshly made each day and there was a superb variety. I know if we return to Astypalea, we have no doubt about where to stay. The location is ideal with only a short walk into Town, near the bakery, Ice cream shop or in the other direction; Livadi beach.

Absolute dream. Cannot fault our stay here at all. The rooms are stunning, the views are incredible, and the owners are simply wonderful. Natalia especially. Quick shout out to Castro the dog too. Beautiful pup! Up there with the very best hotels that I've ever been lucky enough to stay. Astounding.

Located on the edge of Chora this Boutique hotel offers you a wonderful layout with spacious rooms and breakfast with local homemade products. A common pool for your leisure and some rooms with private outdoor Jacuzzi .The host Mrs Litsa takes care of each guest in a very personal way ,the warm welcome make you feel like home.The closed beach is within 800m in Livadi with partly sun beds, tavernas,bar,supermarket and easy reachable in walking distance.The return , as it is uphill back to the hotel would be by taxi or local bus if you don't hire a car.If you fancy a day trip with a Ferretti Yacht including food and beverage don't hesitate to ask Mr Michael

The location of the hotel is ideal. Only 7-10 minutes walking to the Chora and about 10 minutes walking to the Livadi beach. Quiet, with very nice view to the castle and the sea. Parking area is available. Warm welcome and polite personnel. The hotel is run by a family. We stayed in the room "Vigla"; a big, 2 floor room with excellent view, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, fireplace etc.. Daily cleaning of very good standards. The breakfast is very good with local and home made products (eg. jams) and daily "surprises" (2-3 main plates were changing daily). The hotel is equipped with a small pool, sauna, gym etc.. They offer transfer from/to port or airport. They assist you in anything we asked (car rental, places to visit, restaurants, even they found for us local products to buy and take them with us).... Highly recommended.
