Mykonos Dove Beachfront Hotel

We stayed at the Mykonos Dove Beachfront Hotel and booked the Fantasy Dream Suite with a private rooftop pool, and honestly, it was exceptional in every way! The suite was incredibly spacious and surrounded by 360° views of the sea, which made the entire experience feel so luxurious and peaceful. The highlight of our stay was definitely the rooftop infinity pool; the views from there were absolutely magical, especially during sunset. The suite also has two modern bathrooms, both beautifully designed, adding even more comfort and convenience to our stay. There are two amazing balconies too on top of the luxurious rooftop. Every detail of the room felt thoughtfully done and truly amazing. A very special mention goes to Hisham, the manager, who made our stay extra memorable. We were celebrating a double occasion, our first wedding anniversary and my birthday, and Hisham went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. He surprised us with cakes and a delicious fruit platter in our suite, which was such a thoughtful touch. The hospitality and service at this hotel are on another level, everyone was so accommodating, kind, and genuinely cared about making our experience perfect. I really wanted to love my stay here. The staff were genuinely wonderful, friendly, and eager to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality truly stood out and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Unfortunately, the room itself was a major disappointment. For the price I paid, I expected something much more comfortable and up to date. Instead, the space felt old and neglected. The fixtures were rusty, the decor outdated, and there was a general griminess that took away from the island’s charm. It’s clear the hotel could use a serious refresh. While I appreciated the excellent service, the condition of the room made my overall experience in Mykonos less enjoyable than it should’ve been. With such high rates, I expected better quality and upkeep.

Our stay at Dove Hotel was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like family with their warmth, humor, and genuine kindness. They went above and beyond in every way — from generously providing fresh towels and beach towels, to giving great recommendations for places to visit around the island. The location is fantastic as well — with a bus station just steps away for easy access to Mykonos Old Town, and only a 15-minute walk to Scorpios, which was amazing and so much fun. The hotel itself is comfortable, welcoming, and beautifully maintained, making it the ideal place to relax after exploring. We also enjoyed Anios Restaurant, where the food and service added another wonderful layer to our experience.

We stayed 3 nights at Dove Beachfront Hotel, booking the “Relax Suite with Private Pool”. Room was extremely outdated and filled with a strong moldy smell, especially in the bathroom. It was hard to breathe properly inside. The “private pool” was dirty and not private at all—it’s just weakly separated from other rooms with some plants. I doubt it even has a functioning cleaning system. On top of that, we killed two huge cockroaches in the room. The windows don’t have insect screens, so you can’t even ventilate the room without inviting bugs in. Breakfast is average at best. It’s supposed to start at 8 AM, but most things aren’t actually ready until after 9:30. We also booked their free port transfer, but it arrived 45 minutes late—we had to wait under the sun with all our luggage and no communication. The hotel advertises itself as beachfront, but in reality, you’re treated as second-class guests. You’re pushed to the last row on the beach and not allowed to choose your spot. They also try to crowd more guests right next to you. The beach manager was extremely rude and acted like we were staying there for free—not paying over €500 per night.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, but unfortunately it did not meet our expectations overall. The beach was very crowded; they add extra sunbeds between the existing ones to accommodate more people from outside the hotel, leaving very little space to move around. The food was not very good, and we were not satisfied with the comfort of the room either. There was dampness and the room was quite old. Also, there were bugs in the room, which should definitely be taken into consideration.
