As part of All of Greece One Culture 2025, the Holy Convent of the Ursulines in Tinos will host the exhibition Along Their Path… 127 Years Later from July 19 to August 24.
Presented by the Tinos Virtual Museum (TVM), this multifaceted initiative is dedicated to the island’s weaving tradition and its revival in contemporary life. Weaving is explored not only as a historical craft but as a living cultural practice and a form of artistic expression, reimagined for today through exhibitions, talks, screenings and educational activities.
Events will be held at key heritage sites across Tinos – including the Ursuline School in Loutra, the Zarifeios School of Weaving and Handicrafts in Chora, the historic Weaving Workshop in Pyrgos, and the TVM space in Chora. The programme features visual art exhibitions, children’s workshops, research-based video screenings, and presentations by historians and folklorists, all aiming to reconnect audiences with a vital part of the island’s material and cultural history.
