Nefeli Hotel

Notwithstanding the room rating, this is a very pleasant hotel and the best value at the price point in the immediate area (some do not offer breakfast or coffee). Nefeli is in a relatively secluded location along the back roads heading to Kommeno Bay and has a swimming pool with loungers and offers a very generous breakfast each day (also a breakfast box for early departures). The rooms are of a decent size, although the showers could do with updating and it is difficult to do basic things like charge ones phone while relaxing at the pool as one needs the keycard being in the room which is attached to a room key. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, although certain oddities could be easily addressed. The hotel says that the water is not drinkable but only provide drinking water on the first day and charges on subsequent days. One also has to pay for pool towels. These charges could easily be baked into the room price without much effect to the traveller and for reasons of administration it would be beneficial to do so. The reception also opens surprisingly late for a hotel at 8.30 so if one wants to book a taxi be sure to book the evening before. Once one navigates these peculiarities the stay is pleasant. The leisure facilities are friendly, the pool is of a decent length and clean and it has a pool bar which seemed to be served until about 10pm or so. People seemed to enjoy hanging out outside and it is a social friendly hotel where people chat with other travellers and it has a warm vibe. At a practical level given the location, hiring a car is best it is not located near any public transport and taxis are relatively expensive. Despite this, at the price point I would recommend this hotel to travellers on a budget.

A charming hotel in a quiet area of Corfu. The staff were outstanding; very friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was generous and varied and the room was spotless. We also enjoyed the presence of the cats! Accessing the hotel can be tricky due to the single-lane access road. But the location is good to visit the city or sites in the north of the island by car. Lastly, the pool was pleasant with plenty of loungers and the nearby bar. Would recommend to a friend!

A very welcoming hotel. The staff go above and beyond to help in every way, from organising trips to finding a doctor and guiding you to good restaurants. The room is extremely comfortable with everything you need in good working order. The shower could do with an upgrade, which I’m sure will come in time, but can’t complain as they get cleaned daily. The pool is beautiful clean and well maintained and very comfortable with plenty of seating It’s a perfect hotel for us, as we prefer small family run intimate businesses. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Would definitely go back.

We loved everything about this hotel, the location is in strategic place, close to Corfu Town as well as most beautiful beaches. If you have a car or scooter it is a great option. Breakfast is good, with nice variety, everything is clean, staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms have everything you need and they are quite spacious (we did pay a little extra for bigger rooms). However the most amazing part is the pool and the garden, with all the beautiful trees that were flowering during our stay. Will be looking forward to return in this wonderful place.

There is an issue with the towels. In a hotel with a pool, I didn't expect them to charge extra for pool towels. The towels in the room were old and not white. There was no soap in the shower and we had to use the soap from the sink. It seems that the hotel, or at least our room, hasn't finished its renovation. However, we enjoyed our trip and all of the above didn't bother us too much.
