Originally a sponge factory, established by Nickolaos Verneniotis in 1860, this charming space has been thoughtfully restored into a boutique hotel named Bratsera. Paying homage to the place where fishing fleets once embarked on journeys for sponge harvesting. The name "Bratsera" reflects the Greek sponge divers' term for the mother-vessel, linking the hotel to the island's seafaring past.

Bratsera's rare gem, a spacious garden with a pool and sun loungers, creates a peaceful, lush retreat in the heart of Hydra, which is rare to find on the island.
