Athens Olive Oil tasting experience

• Your unique and private experience will begin by picking you up from your hotel (or a central meeting point) with our comfortable Mini Van/Sedan.While leaving the busy city center behind us, we will introduce you to the vast agricultural area of Mesogaia which produces excellent quality of extra virgin olive oil from the varieties of Athinolia, Koroneiki and Manaki.
• Our culinary experience will begin with a stop at a local dairy for a tradition brunch.
• We will cross by the beautiful countryside, full of olive groves, and we will make a short stop in a secret spot surrounded by various cultivations and charming chapels. We will have the chance to take a walk in the nature and enjoy a small treat with Must Cookies and Greek Bagels.
• Once relaxed we will continue to our next stop, a family owned olive mill where you will experience a unique olive oil testing. The owners will first guide you through their premises and will share their family story as olive oil producers. You will also learn about the olive oil production methods and the route through which the “liquid gold” reaches the bottle. During the olive oil tasting workshop, you will also learn to recognize what qualities make the perfect olive oil in terms of color and taste. Leaving the activity you will have gained a new perspective about the quality of the olive oil, and you will have the knowledge to select the right one from the shelf!
