Georgioupolis Resort & Aqua Park

I’m honestly shocked by the experience we had at Georgioupolis Resort Aqua Park & SPA, which claims to be a five-star hotel but fails miserably to meet even basic standards of hospitality. While some of the lower-level staff were kind and upgraded our room for my birthday, everything else went downhill fast. There was no Internet for four days — completely unacceptable in 2025, especially at a resort on an island where guests rely on connectivity. I paid for a room for three people and was charged extra, but my daughter was forced to sleep on a folding bed — hardly what I expect from a so-called five-star hotel. The shower flooded every single time we used it. Despite informing staff repeatedly, nothing was fixed. On the fifth night, when I finally insisted on help, reception told me there was no maintenance after 10 PM and that I had to deal with the water myself — I spent the night cleaning the floor! To make matters worse, when I tried to express my frustration to management, I was dismissed. The manager never called me as promised. When I finally spoke with him in person, he had the nerve to say I was “attacking him” simply for calmly explaining my issues. Not only was there no accountability, but not a single sincere apology was offered for their failures. This hotel lacks basic communication, respect for its guests, and clearly does not operate at a five-star standard. This was a deeply frustrating experience and I would strongly warn others against booking here. One star is generous — this hotel does not deserve your money or your trust.

We booked the presidential suite for 6 days, we checked in at midnight, our room was inhibitable due to suffocating smell of sewage and rot, the reception on duty employees acknowledged the problem but he was with no authority to change the room or find a solution. I barely slept for few hours before spending the rest of the early morning at the reception. At 9:30AM the hotel finally moved us to another suite with bad sewage smell but not as suffocating as the first room. We kept complaining about the smell the entire 6 days with no solution. Every single employee who visited the room (including cleaning ladies from different shifts, swimming pool maintenance guys and reception employee) acknowledged the foul sewage smell, the only person who did not smell anything was the hotel manager and general maintenance manager (probably not to acknowledge the problem and hence find a solution or compensation). We had to leave the room as many hours as possible all day and just sleep in the sewage smell in a 5 star hotel in presidential suite!!!! This has affected our entire stay despite the hotel many facilities (access to beach, aqua park and many swimming pools). However, the hotel can no way be rated as 5-star hotel as it misses any sense of luxury (as simple as tissue box is not available inside the room, also the bathroom door knob was broken and the shower drainage was blocked - the hotel has fixed all these issues later); if you consider this hotel as all inclusive five star hotels compared to the ones in Italy, Turkey or Egypt, then you will be disappointed. On positive term, the available facilities and restaurant outlets are all decent and good, the hotel is clean and the service in restaurants and bars is okay. The hotel location is not the best, the whole Georgupolis area is not served with Taxis or easily accessed public transportation, renting a car is a must if you decide to come to this area. Taxis are way too expensive. Finally, the hotel can be called the Sewage Smell hotel

We went to the hotel last month, everything was okay, the room was clean, the food was delicious, the cleaners were very friendly. There was only one thing I didn't like because my only daughter was traumatized when she heard and saw the incident where the cleaning superior was scolding her staff, she almost screamed as if there were no guests next to her and most of all my daughter was scared because she was pointing and glaring at her staff. I didn't want to mention this but my daughter couldn't sleep the first night. I understand that she might be under pressure at work but as a superior she should know how to handle situations and where to go so that it doesn't affect others. I suggest that she undergo proper training to handle people because I don't think she is yet capable of the job assigned to her.

The best customer service we have ever received! All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Big thank you to Steffani who was so helpful and made our stay extra wonderful! Myself and my family are vegan so staying at hotels in Greece can be challenging. Not this one! We were looked after by the head chef who served us up some of the best vegan food we have eaten. We eat it lots of top vegan restaurants in London and this was a good as! 😀 I am pregnant and my son is autisic and we were so looked after. Thank you so much to all of the staff at this wonderful hotel! You made the last part of our holiday one to remember!

We just came back from an amazing holidays in this hotel! We were located in Harpin which is absolutely beautiful. ( Rooms 4201 and 4203). Best buffet food we had have in any hotel in Europe and the hotel, the activities can only be highly recommended. My 7yo son had a blast and we enjoyed the aqua park, all superb pools, the superb beach and incredible the view. However, what really made the difference for us was the staff, everyone we interacted with were welcoming and wonderful !!! The staff in the restaurants, in the bars, at the reception, in SPA is absolutely amazing!!! Director of the hotel Nikos is pure gentleman and takes care of each guest ! Clearly the place is very well managed and values keeping guests happy! Managers Manos and Indrid from the restaurants are extremely professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean, the facilities are new and well maintained. Best resort holiday we have had.!
