Lida Mary Hotel

One of the best vacations we’ve ever had! Lida Mary was absolutely wonderful. The location and atmosphere were stunning—so peaceful and full of character. What really made it special was the incredibly kind and helpful staff. They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We would definitely come again!

Amazing experience although in a very stressed time. We had to spend 5 nights on the island for firefighting and staying there really made our exhausting days and short nights way more pleasant than expected. Tasos in the most wonderful host of them all, always smiling and helping in every possible way to accommodate our needs, sometimes in very short notice. The town of Mesta is indeed a marvelous one, a real medieval castle town, and Lida Mary hotel is the place to go.

We had a lovely stay at Lida Mary in Mesta, our rooms were clean, cozy, traditional and in an excellent location in the village. Special thanks to our host Tassos who allowed us a ( very ) early check-in after a long trip to get there and was very kind and helpful with suggestions for the island. Highly recommended!

Staying at Lida Mary was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Chios. Nestled within the fortified village of Mesta — a maze of cobbled alleys, stone arches, and centuries-old architecture — the hotel is the perfect blend of authenticity and comfort. Mesta itself feels like stepping into another time, with its preserved medieval character and serene atmosphere. Every corner tells a story. The real gem, however, was our host, Tasos. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcome. He gave us excellent recommendations and even took the time to give us a personal tour of the village — pointing out hidden gems, local favorites, and secret spots we would have otherwise missed. You can tell he loves this place deeply, and his passion is contagious. Thanks to him, we experienced Mesta not just as visitors, but almost like locals. The hotel itself is beautiful — tastefully restored, full of character, and perfectly located inside the old walls. We would return in a heartbeat.

It was a calm, peaceful vacation. We arrived in the village of Mesta, we were greeted by Tasos, the hotel manager, and we chatted for about an hour and explained in detail what to do in the south of the island. The room was modern and clean.
