Depi's Luxury Villas

Terrible Experience This hotel is highly disappointing and I do not recommend it. Here are the main issues we faced during our stay: - They falsely advertise having a sea view, but it’s a lie. There’s construction right next door, and the noise from it is constant. The view is obstructed by the construction site. - The lady who received us was very unhelpful. We informed her that we are lactose intolerant and requested plant-based milk, which she promised but never provided. - The breakfast is shameful for the price. As mentioned in other reviews that we regrettably did not read beforehand, it was inadequate. We were a group of five, yet they brought only 3 eggs and 2 yogurts. It’s unclear how they expected us to share. - The bathroom floods when you shower. The glass partition is too small to contain the water. When we informed the lady, her response was: "We check it... you have right for the water is in high pressure the drain doesn't have time to absorb them.” This is unacceptable for the type of accommodation and the price we paid. This response might be acceptable for a hostel, but not here. - There’s an ant infestation, which we reported, but nothing was done. - They are consistently late with breakfast service. - I didn't have a towel to shower and it took 36 minutes for them to bring one, after much insistence and with a very bad attitude. I would never return to this hotel, nor would I recommend it. The lack of willingness to assist with any of our issues was the worst part of our stay.

Depis Edem is the perfect accommodation choice for a large group of travellers. 7 of us stayed here in early June and we did not regret our choice at all! We got the three-bedroom villa which was spacious, comfortable and all-round incredible. We did not have to fight for bathroom usage, had a nice place to dine, and had plenty of places to relax by watching TV, playing our switch on the TV, and of course taking a nice swim in the pool, which was well-sized. The kitchen was good enough for us to buy back groceries and cook a meal enough for the 7 of us. The beds were comfortable, and the air-conditioning was strong enough to beat the summer heat. Best of all, the price we paid was very reasonable. The highlight of our stay was the service provided by Depi and her team. Not only did they work tirelessly to clean our villa and the pool, but they provided additional services such as arranging for transport and helping us to do our laundry, which was greatly appreciated as we had a lot of laundry to do. They accommodated our many requests, and also prepared a really delicious spread of breakfast for us every morning at the timing of our choice. Their Greek yoghurt with honey, along with bread, pastries, eggs and fruits were a really great way to start the day! The downsides were the slower than ideal wifi, which was especially slow on the ground and upper floor. Furthermore, the villa was not the best for groups which were not renting a vehicle as it required a 1.4km walk to get to the nearest bus stop, grocery store, and an even further walk was required to get to the restaurants. However we were able to survive the walk for the days we were there, and this is only a factor if you are not able to rent a car / arrange for a driver every day. To get to Plaka Beach, a walk of around 10mins is also required. All in all however, we really enjoyed our stay in Depis Edem Luxury Villas and it is thanks to the staff who made our time in Naxos so enjoyable! Thank you!

We stayed in Depis Edem from 20 to 29 July 2024. There are multiple things which were unacceptable for us as a guests - I post them as the summarisation and source of knowledge about this place for the others. Red willa, described as having 4 bedrooms didn’t match the description - it is hard to accept something called bedroom, which at the same time is a kitchen and transition space for the others. Another room didn’t have air conditioning, no wardrobe, little window only, looked more as a cell. Also - to get into this room, you must go through another “bedroom”. After the discussion with Depi, who was the host of it, willa was replaced with another one, which was fine for our group - however it also caused anger and lack of further cooperation. We asked if we can have more deckchairs on swimming pool area - she said we have two, with no option to deliver more. For 10 people willa this number was quite small, we also said that our neighbours had more: she answered so what, you have 2. Breakfast were not adequate for group of 10 people - we were provided as the example with 7 or 8 eggs, 6 pieces of bread, 6 slices of fruits. Each single day the food basically was the same. Prior to the trip I asked the host about the renovation going on close to department- and I was told that no noises will appear, since it is not allowed to do this during July. That was not true - each day noises waked us up prior 8 AM, and also the view was really unfortunate. Least but not last - we asked if we can do the check out on 11.30 instead of 11, as we had a prom later on, we will leave the rooms and stay on swimming pool area just to not disturb the cleaning. Depi said no, with no further discussion. In my opinion, flexible checkouts are not in place there, even if this is highlighted on their page. She didn’t say goodbye to us - even if we tried to keep good relations in difficult circumstances. I do not recommend this place.

We recently stayed here for a week with family including our two toddlers. Perfect place to stay, spacious and clean apartment, great breakfast and lovely pool - couldn’t get my daughter out of it! Bit of a walk to the beach so after a few days we hired a car (Fun Car Hire was very reasonable).

The best experience I had in Naxos. Will definitely revisit next year 😍
