Ammoa Luxury Hotel & Spa Resort

I was with my wife and 2 children in May of this year, to celebrate 10 years of marriage in this hotel. The hotel is excellent. The whole complex is clean and the owner takes care of every part of this hotel. The food is very tasty and diverse. For children, you have a playroom, with a woman who takes care of the children. The playground has a large number of very high-quality toys. The pools are excellent with salt water that is heated depending on the air temperature. When it's cold outside, the water is warmer and vice versa. The staff is very friendly. The spa center is also excellent. All recommendations for this hotel. We even paid to go again in September.

It's our third visit of Ammoa, and my first review:) for this magnificent resort. First of all I will give 10/10 for the personal at reception for helping and explaining every detail and even more. Rooms are very spacious, well designed, maintained and equipped. This time we had Deluxe Sea front room with private pool, which is great experience and recommendation to choose if you decide to spent you vacation in Ammoa. The only advantage of the rooms with a Lateral (side) sea view with private pool is that there is sun until later. ( so if you want to stay in water longer and to see the sunset, choose the lateral side :) ) We stayed on Half Board basis and the food was excellent quality and with a very good choice, both at breakfast and evening meal. A negative point this year is the borrowing of beach towels by leaving a card and returning it / picking up the card after returning the towel. For this type of hotel it is much more appropriate to leave beach towels in the room and return / replace them by the maintenance staff... I speak from personal experience when visiting other resorts in and outside Greece. I hope that the management will find the most appropriate solution. Cleaning needs to be improved, supervision is needed to conduct random checks after cleaning, because at least for my room I can confirm that it was not cleaned properly several times. The hotel is situated on a beautiful beach in a very quiet location. We will definitely be visiting again.

Feels Like Home – 3rd Year in a Row at Ammoa This was our third time staying at Ammoa Luxury Hotel & Spa Resort, and it’s safe to say it’s become our go-to place for a perfect summer break. We stayed again in the Deluxe Sea Front Room with a private pool, and it was just as amazing as we remembered. Waking up to that view and having your own pool just steps from the bed is something we’ll never get tired of. The rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable. The staff is always super polite, helpful, and welcoming—it’s really clear that they care about guests having a great time. What really impressed us this year is how much the hotel has improved over time. You can tell the management actually listens to feedback from previous years. Everything feels more polished and well thought out, which just makes the experience even better each time. The hotel grounds are big and beautifully maintained, with lots of space to walk around and relax. There’s even a nice pier for a little walk or sunset view. Parking is easy, with plenty of space, and they’ve even added electric car charging spots, which is a big plus. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent—great variety, fresh ingredients, and really tasty food. Whether you’re in the mood for something traditional or more international, there’s something for everyone. After three consecutive years, Ammoa honestly feels like home. It’s the kind of place you look forward to returning to before you’ve even left. We’ll definitely be back again next year!

We stayed for 3 nights at Ammoa. The beach is beautiful with fine sand, but unfortunately several sunbeds were dirty and not cleaned. The room was great – clean, well-maintained, and we had a private pool as booked. However, I found a few things disappointing for a 5-star hotel: at breakfast, the coffee comes from a self-service machine instead of being freshly prepared at the coffee bar. When I asked, I was told that freshly made coffee costs extra. The orange juice was also not freshly squeezed, which is a shame for a hotel of this standard. The minibar was completely empty, which I found unusual. On 2 out of 3 nights, there was no evening atmosphere or entertainment at all in the hotel – which is very unusual for high season.

Posting this review upon my second stay at the hotel this summer. I absolutely love the location and the facilities are great! Overall the experience is very good and I would probably visit again. However there are a few points that are a bit frustrating and could use improvement, considering the luxury concept and pricing. The service should be better. It is quite hard to get attention of the waiters at the beach to get your order placed. Once you do, the guys are indeed very accommodating and helpful. Probably a larger team would resolve this. The operating hours of the towel station are very limiting, i.e., 10am-6pm. Lots of folks, including myself, like to spend the whole day at the beach. Again, having a cross-shift, and expanding the hours to cover the whole day (e.g. 6am-9pm) would make the experience so much better (or changing the card/towel system to something more efficient). Same applies to the beach service (stops serving after 5.30-6pm). The main drawback for me is the breakfast and dinner schedules, with first ending at 10.30 am and the latter at 9.30pm. I believe an extra hour for breakfast (especially since it has brunch options and there is no lunch served at the hotel) and a couple of additional hours for dinner would be perfect. Rushing on your holidays to make it on time is not optimal. There is a seaside restaurant, Kyma, that operates till 10.30 pm but their menu is far less diverse than the main restaurant's and frankly, their staff is a little impolite. The dinner buffet at the main restaurant is amazing! Everything is so fresh and delicious and it changes every night. One could definitely find something of their preference. The breakfast choices could be a bit more diverse, adding wholesome fruit (bananas, apples, peaches). The orange juice could be freshly squizzed, instead of mass produced, while having to pay extra 4.5 € for a fresh coffee is a bit too much, considering the price per night. The cleaning of the rooms is not consistent. Towels at the room pool didn't get changed throughout the stay, same for used coffee/water cups, unless specifically requested (and still the dirty ones were left at the room for some reason). Same goes for water. The tap water is not drinkable and even though we should be getting one bottle of water per day, we only got one upon request. To conclude, I believe just by hiring/training more people and expanding the timetable of beach/towel service, breakfast and dinner, with a little bit of attention to detail, would elevate the experience to its price!
