Get ready to live a hiking experience in the enchanting world of Tzoumerka! In our program Tzoumerka Hiking: Melissourgoi Refuge & Kefalovrysos Waterfall we explore by hiking some of the most impressive spots in Tzoumerka, in just a few hours.

Starting from the picturesque destination of Melissourgoi, we ascend to the imposing Kefalovrysos waterfall, one of the highest in Greece, with a height of over 300m.

Continuing our exploration, we traverse the impressive landscape until we reach the quiet refuge of Pramanton, where a short stop offers us the necessary refreshment in nature.

The road leads us into the dense Cephalonian fir (Abies Cephalonica ) forest, which provides shady coolness throughout our journey through it.

Next stop, the monastery of Agia Paraskevi, a building that showcases the architectural art of 1876 and the cave of Katsantoni, located at 1,050m altitude.

As we reach our final destination, the refuge of Melissourgoi, we leave behind an unforgettable experience!

Participation requirements:

8 years and over
Elementary physical condition

Equipment:

Small backpack 30lt
Shoes for running or hiking
Hiking clothes suitable for the season (long and long pants, t-shirts, fleece, etc.)
Waterproof jacket/membrane (for rainy days)
Hat or beanie, sunglasses, sunscreen
Snacks (nuts/dried fruit/energy bar)
Your water bottle. As part of our environmental policy , we are committed to eliminating the use of plastic water bottles.
Flashlight (head torch if you have one)
Simple first aid kit (blister patches or kit, aspirin or similar, antiseptic)
