Σύντομη περιγραφή

A historic and inspiring hike, part of the E4 European trail! It makes its way down the slopes of Mt. Parnassos leading to the village of Delphi. After 40mn of Van transfer, our hike starts on the Livadi plateau at an altitude of 1200m.

Following the ancient path through lush forests, we descend to the Delphi sanctuary! During the first part of our way we will observe the alpine summits, explore Mt. Parnassos virgin endemic fir tree forest and it particular ecosystem adapted to an altitude dry climate.

The second part of the hike is on a rocky terrain following a dry stream and entering in a typical mediterranean bush landscape. The highlight and challenging part of this trail is the stone built ancient zigzag "stair of Delphi" overlooking Apollo's Archeological site. A magical spot with the best view to the olive trees valley and the Corinthian Gulf with the imposing mountains of the Peloponnese as a backdrop.

This is a small group hiking tour with maximum 8 participants.
