Shila Athens

My husband and I stayed at Shila Athens for the final stop on our honeymoon, and it felt like the perfect place from the moment we arrived. We booked the Romantic Dust suite, a beautifully designed space with French windows that open to a private garden—peaceful, sunlit, and effortlessly chic. The four-poster bed, black soaking tub, and soft linens made the suite feel like our own little sanctuary in the heart of Kolonaki. The service is absolutely outstanding. Era was especially warm, gracious, and helped with all of our requests. Every detail at Shila feels intentional, from a curated playlist that varies based on which suite you are staying in, to locally sourced skincare products, to bath sheets so plush we tracked down the store that sells them. The breakfast was divine, and after weeks of travel, Shila offered exactly what we needed—quiet luxury, creative energy, and a sense of calm so impeccable I’m not sure I’ll ever find it again anywhere else.

I am very tired of those standardized hotel rooms then I found Shila. When you are surrounded by all the details, you know someone or people have put love and attention to everything at the place, pouring the love of beauty. I love the calmness around the neighborhood and the staff is extremely kind. Old buildings have their charm and parts that are hard to fix but the experience was still outstanding.

What truly made this hotel special was the people that greeted us. The location was also amazing and allowed us to walk to all of the places we wanted to go. And the breakfast was phenomenal, it was a great spread of tasty food. The staff and yoghurt bowl were some of the best things here.

Shila hotel is one of the most unique and gorgeous hotels I’ve ever stayed in! It’s so thoughtfully designed and curated, making your stay a truly special experience. I will definitely come back if I visit Athens again and would recommend to others! The staff is so warm and caring, they treated us so kindly and cleaned our rooms everyday. We stayed with two little kids, they are kids friendly! and made us feel so welcomed. The breakfast is AMAZING! The rooms are absolutely delightful to stay in, there’s not enough words to describe this amazing experience. I’m so happy I found this hotel.

Such a beautiful hotel with thoughtful touches and an incredible attention to detail. The staff were so helpful, kind and available. The room was spacious, comfortable and very chic. Having breakfast in the mornings on the peaceful rooftop was a highlight. I loved Shila and can't wait to return, and would also like to try their sister hotel MONA.
