Petradia Villas

The Villa was beautiful. It had everything we could have needed. It was clean and so comfortable. The pool area was perfect, in the sunshine all day but also with available shade if you didn’t want to be in the sun. Maria was so welcoming, made us feel right at home from the minute we arrived. Couldn’t recommend this more! 10/10

One of the best holiday homes we’ve ever stayed in! I’m writing this on the plane wishing I wasn’t on my way home and spending a few more days at this lovely property! Our holiday in Naxos was off to a bad start, but discovering this wonderful villa truly made up for it! The complex at Petradia is made up of 3 identical villas, each with their own entrance, concrete yard and swimming pool, with a few plants in a few corners. There is ample parking on site, and the property is suitable for solo travellers, families, and young children (as long as pool safety is ensured, of course). One of the 3 properties even has disabled access. The property is 3 minutes away from the airport, 5 minutes from the supermarket, 10 minutes away from Naxos capital (Chora as they call it in Greece), and 10-15 minutes from the nearest beaches and some great restaurants. Likewise the temples of Apollo, Demeter and Dionysus are all within a 15-20 min drive. Apollonas in the north is an hour away, as are some of the quieter beaches in the south. The house itself is very cleverly laid out, and luxuriously designed. Everything is aesthetic and relaxing— from the crockery to the sunbeds to the beige concrete bathrooms. The swimming pool is immaculate, not too deep for kids, cleaned every day, and deliciously cool under the sweltering Naxian sun. The walls are designed with open slats that allow air to circulate and ensure there is always a lovely breeze (essential in the heat of the afternoon!) There were no mosquitoes, although repellent was provided. There were a lot of flies, but they seemed to be everywhere on the island during the hot season. Two very cute cats (one with a little black beard we named “Achilles”), also made an appearance on a couple of evenings, but were quite shy and left almost as quickly as they came. There are 2 covered dining areas outside which are beautiful. One has an outdoor fridge, sink, food preparation area and brand new barbecue. The two bedrooms are in the lower part of the house, and are therefore always lovely and cool— perfect for good night’s sleep after a day at the beach or sightseeing. The kitchen is small but well equipped with new appliances, and everything you need to prepare easy meals. The bathrooms are gorgeous, with fresh towels and clean linens provided every other day when the cleaner comes. And the sitting/dining room is comfortable, although we didn’t spend much time indoors. Marie and Nikos (the parents of the owners, who oversee the everyday running of the villas) were by far the best AirBnB hosts we’ve ever had. We were the first renters, and as such there were a few, small hiccups on the first day, to which our hosts responded immediately on whatsapp and in person (e.g. we needed a sharp cutting knife and some place mats, and they were brought over within the hour!). They also had some great recommendations for some of our questions regarding where to eat or where to buy some specific (and quite unusual) items. They were kind and warm and welcoming, and my daughters, husband and I loved them, and we look forward to staying at their property again sometime, maybe bringing more family with us! I cannot recommend these lovely villas highly enough. If you’re coming to Naxos, do yourself and your family a favour, and book yourself a stay at Petradia Villa!

Πολύ ωραία τα δωμάτια. Άπλετο χώρο. Πεντακάθαρα. Οι ιδιοκτήτες πολύ φιλόξενοι και ευγενικοί πάντα πρόθυμοι να μας εξυπηρετήσουν για οτιδήποτε.
