Marietta Hotel & Apartments Rhodes

Nice apartments in a good location. Not close to the beach, but in a village with good restaurants and close to Rhodes Town. And if you don't want to eat out, the food here is excellent. The rooms are basic, but clean and tidy. The biggest problem is the pool area. It is clean and tidy, but nowhere near big enough in the peak season. We arrived at nearly midnight on a Saturday night, and we're greeted by the sight of virtually all the sun loungers covered by towels. Basically, as soon as anyone gets one, the towel is down and stays there for the duration. Absolutely embarrassing. We are sat on the Sunday night, at 10 o'clock, and have just watched a man leave the bar to go up to the communal balcony and arrange loungers just the way he wants them for his family tomorrow morning. I can honestly say I have never given a thought to this type of activity in my life. I'm on holiday, have just enjoyed a lovely meal and am now relaxing with a few drinks before bed. I can't think of anything less interesting or less rewarding than manoeuvring sun loungers at 10 in the evening. Truly a sad sight. However, this is no reflection on the hotel or staff. They have been absolutely fantastic for the whole stay. Nothing is too much trouble and they are genuinely lovely people. Marietta and her family, and all the hotel staff have made us feel very welcome. It's no wonder people return to this place, we definitely would.

Me and my partner visited here about 6/7 years ago and we can't stop thinking about it. The amazing family run hotel was amazing. Great service, always a pleasure to chat to and work with your requests. The food is beautiful, felt like having a home cooked meal that was cooked with love and care. Me and my girlfriend were welcomed with open arms in the hotel and always felt safe. Easy to travel from the hotel into old town, main town and party areas by bus. Lots of excursions can also be bought in the village near the hotel.

I had no expectations, having been sent by a travel agent. What I found when I arrived was a very warm welcome from Marietta. The hotel was basic in some ways but turned out to be just what I've been looking for for many years. I made some good friends,and thoroughly enjoyed the whole atmosphere. What I hadn't expected was the experience of becoming a part of the family. Marietta treated me like a favourite uncle and I felt loved and valued. I hated to leave and I shall be going back as soon as I can, for as long as I can and as often as I can. In the past, I have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world but they all felt, while luxurious, rather impersonal. Marietta's gave me a sense of belonging which, to me, is pure gold.

Me and my husband stayed here for ten days we have just come home, absolutely nothing but good feedback for marietta and her wonderful family, such a great atmosphere so helpful so lovely, gave us the perfect relaxed holiday we was looking for! We will definitely be visiting here again for longer All our love Benita and Jonathan!

Just recently returned home from here (friday) I'm not usually one to leave a review but feel that marietta, Michael and the rest of the family and staff deserves one. This has to be one of the most welcoming places I've ever stayed. I went with my partner and son (9) who is a SEN child and usually doesn't take to new places well. For the first time EVER he left this hotel in floods of tears because he didn't want to leave. Marietta and family are amazing people who deserve every star I've given plus more. I've never felt so grateful for their hospitality. Even the other guests where lovely and helpful and spent hours playing and entertaining my son, and buying him ice creams 🤭 We met a big handful of the most loveliest, friendliest, caring people I've ever come across(most of which return every year there). The cleaners where kind and brilliant at their job. The hotel was spotless. On our first day we had an earthquake and everyone was quick to make sure we were OK. My son was destroyed by mosquitoes on one of the nights and the day after I was given plug ins, sprays and antihistamines for him. Everyone was happy to go out of their way for us and truly made us feel like we was apart of a little community. I cannot thank everyone enough for their hospitality and making my son feel like he was finally somewhere he could relax and be himself without judgement. I've never thought about returning to the same hotel before until now. If you are considering booking a holiday in rhodes, I 100% recommend you choose mariettas!! Oh and before I forget. The food and cocktails where spot on! 😋... also marietta, get some sleep at some point! You deserve it 👏 if I could give more points for this place I really would ❤️ thank you for the memories and the most wonderful time.
