Σύντομη περιγραφή

The full day Nafplio tour is an ideal tour for those who want to taste an authentic Greek experience: Travel back in time and gain a fascinating insight into the first capital of the First Hellenic Republic, one of the most picturesque waterfront towns in Greece! This tour is combined with Mycenae, a UNESCO’s World Heritage site, the imposing ruins of the two greatest cities of the Mycenaean civilization, which dominated the eastern Mediterranean world from the 15th to the 12th century B.C. and played a vital role in the development of classical Greek culture. The tour starts with your pick-up service from your hotel, arrive at Corinth canal after 70 – 80 minutes and time to snap a photo-shot. After a 30 minutes’ drive we arrive at the ancient Mycenae archaeological site and visit the museum, the Mycenae acropolis and the tombs of Agamemnon and Atreas. After the visit to ancient Mycenae, we drive to Nafplio (15 minutes) and we visit the Palamidi medieval fortress and the historic old small city of Nafplio, the first capital city of Greece where you will have enough time to stroll through the picturesque alleyways and feel like you have gone back in time! We end our day in Nafplion with some local delicacies in a traditional restaurant and a handmade ice cream to keep you going!

Journey through Greek history on a full-day tour combining ancient Mycenae with the charm of Nafplio, Greece’s first capital. Stop at the impressive Corinth Canal, explore the UNESCO-listed archaeological site of Mycenae and Palamidi Fortress, then wander through Nafplio’s picturesque Old Town. Enjoy free time to explore at your own pace, with the option to stop for local delicacies or handmade ice cream before returning to Athens.
