Summer Beach

I spent 10 days with my family in Saint Mawes and I must say it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The sea view was amazing and the beach was a sight to behold. Boat rides and walks up to Saint Mawes Castle which was like a real life Game of Thrones experience. Overall, it is a beautiful place to relax and have time for family and enjoy nature at its best artistic experience.

Beautiful cornish beach with clear enticing blue/green waters & gorgeous surroundings. Car park & toilets up from beach make it suitable for young families with littlies to tend to. Nearby hotels overlooking beach make it an ideal weekend get away or if a day out, simply having lunch out for a treat - recommend the "Idle Rocks" with outside veranda area & superb views (a must if love seafood😉). Equally lovely with delicious food & superb friendly staff is the "Rising Sun". Further along seafront are gift/artisanal shops, charming pubs, elegant restaurants, hotels & old fashioned cottages with pretty backstreet lanes. Recommend taking Ferry from St Mawes to Falmouth Harbour where good views of the stunning St Mawes Castle & Pendennis Castle can be achieved (latter at Falmourh). Crossing takes 20 mins with 3 ferries per hour April - October & hourly during winter. Bikes & dogs permitted too. Other ferries operate such as Place Ferry, King Harry Ferry & Helford Ferry as well as boat trips. Each ferry allows many walks (short or long) in areas such as the Roseland etc.

Lovely little village a couple of nice beach's only problem we found there are no benches so if you like to sit down and watch the world go by not very good
