Trouble-free holidays

Caldera Village is located on the lush hills above Agia Marina, the most known resort close to the magnificent Chania city. With ample view to Agia Marina bay and the magnificent Thodorou islet, in Caldera Village you feel like you hover over the scenic North Cretan sea.

The hotel is ideal for families, with nicely decorated apartments catering for any practical (or not) detail for trouble-free holidays. The size of your family or group is not a problem, as there are one, two and three room apartments to fit any of your needs.

And while you enjoy the amazing view over Agia Marina, what's better than swimming in our big, 290 m² fresh water pool, lazing under the hot Cretan sun? There are 5 pools in the hotel in total, other two 140 m² and 110 m² pools, a big 234 m² children's pool and an indoor 88 m² heated pool.

Hotel facilities also include 2 kids' playgrounds, an outdoor gym, a sauna - jacuzzi, and a mini market. To eat or drink, there are 2 restaurants in the hotel, the main Horizon buffet restaurant, and the creative Veranda a la carte restaurant, where you can enjoy your lunch, dinner or drink. There is also a handy pool bar - snack bar.

Last but not least, one of the biggest advantages of Caldera Village is the big hospitality tradition of Caldera Group, serving thousands of satisfied visitors every year since 2002. We are very used to take care of all the small details, so that you will be free to experience the best Chania and Crete have to offer.

Welcome to the Cretan sun. Welcome to Caldera Village.

Absolutely stunning village, super clean, superb breakfast and so close to shops with the perk of free sun beds and parasol by the beach. This is the perfect place for relaxing with family having the choice of 3 huge pools for all ages. Highly recommended!

A Great Stay with Stunning Views! This hotel offers a truly enjoyable experience, highlighted by its great rooms and breathtaking views overlooking the sea and Theodore Island. The food is a definite highlight, with a dynamic menu that changes daily while still offering some consistent favorites. Families will appreciate the splash park for small kids and the multiple pools suitable for all ages. Entertainment options include a vibrant Cretan dance on Monday and an engaging magic show on Wednesday. These events are included in the all-inclusive package, but if you're not on that plan, you can still enjoy them for €18 per adult, which includes dinner and drinks. While Gorgona Beach is a short 10-minute walk away, be aware there's no shuttle service. The uphill climb back to the hotel can be challenging, so keep this in mind if mobility is a concern. Beyond the scheduled dance and magic shows, the hotel offers limited other activities. Overall, this is a good hotel with fantastic views and comes highly recommended, especially for guests who are comfortable with walking uphill.

I don't get why people give low rating. I guess they have different expectations/ they don'tdo research. This is a standard hotel (I would argue 4 stars tthough. But these days stars dont matter) with amazing staff and excellent food selection (even at the bar during the day) so literally everyone will find something to eat. Tones of fruits and vegs as well. It is a village style hotel which I absolutely loved as you can wander around. The only bad thing I would say there isn't enough light in the rooms but that only matters if you like to spend your holidays in the hotel room! Take a note that you have 2 swimming pools for general admission and 2 others are 'private' for people who pays extra for their rooms. Splash park is not opened whole day. For those who like to sit in the evening and watch animations, there are only 2 per week. Evenings are very quiet so you can just sit and relax watching the views sipping drinks from the bar till 11pm. If you want to know more just message the hotel and they can give you more information. No problems with seats around the swimming pools. Ps there are lots of cats not only around the hotel but the whole island. DON'T FEED THEM. For those who doesn't like cats: you can just ignore them and you will not notice them.

Everything to do with our stay at caldera has been perfect. For a four star hotel you are provided with absolutely everything you could ever need, the service here is top notch. The areas around the hotel are exceptionally clean and tidy, the food is amazing never disappointed and our room was more than perfect. 3 vast buffet meals a day, 12 hours of drinks with a snack bar if you are all inclusive is a amazing deal. The hotel is higher up from the nearby town, but if your that physically unfit there is elevator for when coming back up. The nearby town has so many shops and excursion trips plus snorkelling you could stay in the area and have a full experience. Not only this it is only 2 euros a pop to Chania town on the bus and you get sun beds for free at the Gorgona beach. We had the best holiday ever and we have the staff and management at caldera to thank. I’ve never been so throughly impressed and other hotels should take a page out of their book.

Good for families but some details could be tweeked, i e have plastic cups and plates in restaurant and start breakfast from 7 o'clock instead of 7.30. Part of the splashpark great for small kids (30 cm deep water) but can be slippery around the pools - and why not keep it open in the afternoon? We had to move to another pool in the afternoon. One poolbar open where they served drinks and snacks and also beverages in the restaurant. But why not sparkling water at breakfast? Food alright. Most sweet things for breakfast, though. At lunch and dinner a lot less. Cleaning overall excellent. Up on a hill but a couple of lifts to help. Possible to rent a stroller. We travelled with a 1-year-old and a 2-year-old and they enjoyed both the indoor- and outdoor playareas. We could definitely come back and again with all inclusive.
