About the author

I am a Greek American. My parents are from Chios but they lived in Constantinople, where I was born and where I lived until I was eight. We then moved to Athens for a few years before coming to the US where I have lived ever since. During all the years in the US I have visited Greece virtually every summer, sometimes for a few weeks, sometimes for a month or so. In 2013, I lived in Athens for seven months. It was one of the best experiences of my life.
