Aναδύθηκε από τη θάλασσα με διαταγή του Απόλλωνα, όταν οι Αργοναύτες κινδύνευαν ταξιδεύοντας στο Αιγαίο πέλαγος. Το όνομα αυτής, Ανάφη, ένα μικρό κυκλαδονήσι, ανατολικά της Σαντορίνης.
