Parking here, you’ll commence a self hike of 20 to 40 minutes down to the lagoon’s pristine beaches. Please note we don’t provide trekking escort to Balos Lagoon.

Balos Lagoon Exploration and Relaxation: Arriving at Balos Lagoon, unwind for a leisurely four-hour period, discovering the enchanting surroundings and relishing in the crystal-clear waters. Find your spot on the soft, white sandy beaches and immerse yourself in the tranquility of this paradisiacal location.

Picturesque Return Journey: As the afternoon draws to a close, retrace your steps, ascending back to the parking area following the same picturesque hiking route. Seize ample opportunities for breathtaking panoramic photographs of Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa Island from an elevated perspective. A smooth drive along the North coast line of West Crete ensues, offering picturesque views as you’re chauffeured back to your accommodation.

Culinary Treasures at Kalyviani Village (Optional): On the way back from Balos lagoon we find on our way Kalyviani village, a famous traditional Cretan tavern awaits, indulging our senses with local delicacies and authentic platters, providing a taste of the region’s culinary heritage. (Please Note: The cost of lunch during the tour is not included in the price. Participants are encouraged to budget for food purchases during the lunch stop.)

01:30 – 06:30: Free Time in Balos Lagoon (5 hours)
06:30 – 08:00: Drive Back to Pick-Up Point (1 hour 30 minutes)

Pick-up times: 08:30 - 09:00 am Different times upon request and according to availability. The designated pick-up point is outside the hotel. Please provide your hotel name during the booking process. In case the vehicle cannot reach your precise location, we'll notify you via email about the nearest pick-up point.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: Late cancellations, made within the specified timeframe in our Terms & Conditions, will not be eligible for a refund. In the event of tour cancellation due to insufficient participants or adverse weather conditions, Uncharted Escapes will refund 100% of all payments made.

Cancelation Policy

Bookings for private tours must be canceled at least 7 days before the scheduled departure. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made after this time frame.

Should the client choose to cancel their booking, the following charges will apply:

7 days or more before departure: Retention of the deposit.
6 to 3 days before departure: 50% of the total tour price.
Less than 2 days before departure: 100% of the total tour price.
