Merichas Sea View Suites

Kythos is a wonderful island however Merichas Sea View Suites was a real let down. Firstly when we booked, we were informed that their internet was down and could we pay by bank transfer rather than credit card. We did this. Upon arrival by ferry, we walked to the location and were met with a monstrous number of stairs. We found this landing was only half way up! Total 100 steps!!! Eventually after gaining assistance on the first landing from a young guest of another apartment, we reached Merichas Sea View Suites. Having called Mr Petros earlier, he showed up. Our initial room was very basic, it was NOT a Delux Double Room. Very expensive for the lack of anything. After complaining that there was no WiFi, we were moved to a room with a view and balcony. I told Mr Petros that there were too many steps and his response was that it showed its location on the website. No it doesn't!!!! It only shows the top landing!! This was a total rip off! Very disappointing and far too expensive! Mr Petros did help us with our 2 bags down the massive flight of stairs. Rating very low

Terrible experience – do not recommend We stayed here with 5 friends and it was one of the worst accommodations I’ve ever experienced. • The room was dirty when we arrived. • They never took the rubbish out and never provided toilet paper (we had to knock on their door and they only gave us one roll for 6 people). • There was no hot water at any point during our stay. • On the last night there were serious plumbing issues, the noise kept us up all night, and instead of apologizing they had the nerve to ask us to leave before 10:00 even though check-out is officially at 11. • The cleaners were rude and unhelpful. On top of all that, the location requires climbing 100 steps – which might have been worth it if the service and conditions were decent, but unfortunately it was the exact opposite. Unprofessional, disrespectful, and absolutely not worth the money. I strongly advise against staying here.

The room was very clean and beautiful.. If you want to go somewhere peaceful for vacation i surely recommend it. The stairs are a little difficult but the view totally worth it!

One of the worst stays that someone can choose with a price tag of €450 for a quadruple room for two nights! Initially, as can be seen in the photos, the bathroom door is in the air and short, resulting in negative consequences when there are two couples, especially making it difficult! On the first day there was no hot water at all and on the second day there was no water at all in the morning, resulting in neither a toilet nor being able to wash yourself! We also booked for two nights, resulting in no room cleaning as they informed us when we asked, something that when there are 4 people, even trash cans would be very important to change, not to mention towels and sheets! There was no sink to wash the glasses since they never came to change them and when we asked for cleaning they told us we would come to take out the trash in a critical tone! (and apparently they only took that). Finally, for the price of the room, it is not worth the money, but for anyone to stay in it… and as for the second bed, it is a mattress on the floor that moves and walks while the room door has a gap below it, two meters from the bed! Congratulations on the wonderful hospitality offered!

The room seemed renovated with nice decoration, but the doors, ceiling and windows were in poor condition, resulting in annoying sounds from the air and light coming in from the recesses. The 102 steps to reach the rooms make the stay quite difficult, especially after sea - food - drink, which no one informed us about!! We had booked a deluxe suite with a sea view and to see the sea you had to go out to the balloon which was a few meters ahead that connected to the neighbor! No security in the area and someone kept closing the clothesline for us, while we had clothes on it to dry! I would not recommend it for its price!
