Disappointing, no value for money whatsoever. The room was poorly equipped and not functional at all. We had a maisonette and on the ground floor there was no mirror in the room, only in the small bathroom, and no TV. The shower cabin was 70x70 cm, with very low water pressure. We had half-board but only ate there one evening — the food quality was unacceptable. The pools were small and usually crowded, making it hard to find a sunbed, and there was a lot of noise. No soundproofing in the rooms — you could hear everything around you. Without the air conditioning on 24/7, it was impossible to stay in the room. The interior felt like something from the 90s or early 2000s! Definitely not worth the money we paid — probably only suitable for mass tourism. On the other hand, the staff were extremely polite and the exterior architecture was interesting — this is what misled us and made us overlook the details. The management went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and welcomed our feedback with genuine interest. We truly appreciate their efforts and look forward to seeing the hotel evolve even further.

Dirty. Unsafe. Overpriced. During a wedding event, someone with access to a key entered our room while we were out. Our bags had clearly been gone through — clothes were thrown everywhere. Even worse, friends staying at the property had a Rolex watch and a gold bracelet stolen from their room. There were also several suspicious incidents: someone entered our room at 11:30 PM but left when I went downstairs. Another friend had someone come into their room at 4:30 AM. Additionally, the photos online are very misleading. The rooms are far less modern and clean than they appear, and the pool is much smaller than shown in the photos. Our feet felt dirty as soon as we stepped out of the shower — the floor clearly hadn’t been mopped in ages. We felt completely unsettled and unsafe throughout our stay. While the location is beautiful, we would strongly advise against staying here. It was the most expensive hotel we stayed at in Europe and NOT worth it.

I stayed at this hotel recently and unfortunately, my experience did not match the expectations set by the photos online. Positives: • The breakfast was decent and satisfying. • The room itself was functional, and everything was kept clean. • The front desk staff were exceptionally warm and helpful, definitely a highlight of the stay! Negatives: • The photos online make the hotel appear far more luxurious than it actually is. In reality, it’s more of an apartment-style hotel with no real services like room service, which was disappointing. Lots of water and pipes problems. • It was quite noisy during my stay, and the noise levels made it hard to relax. • The overall standard of the hotel did not match what was advertised. Overall, while the staff and cleanliness were great, the experience didn’t meet the expectations set by the online presentation. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a luxury stay as pictured in the photos.

We stayed at Grecotel Plaza Beach House for my birthday and had a fantastic time. Check-in began with a complimentary room upgrade—such a thoughtful start—and on the big day the team surprised me with a free “Happy Birthday” cake, which really made the trip feel special. The hotel itself is spotless, the staff are genuinely friendly, and the private beachfront (complete with comfy sunbeds) makes it easy to unwind. Breakfast is a generous buffet: I loved the continental spread of fresh fruit, pastries, and cheeses, though the hot options weren’t quite to my taste. One minor quibble: the in-room Nespresso machine only comes with a few complimentary capsules, and extras are €2 each. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would happily return to Grecotel Plaza Beach House on our next trip to Crete. 😊

The place is very beautiful, clean, with a staff that provides excellent service. The breakfast/lunch/dinner area is very elegant and clean. The breakfast is very well balanced and quite comprehensive. These are the positive aspects. Unfortunately, there are also a few negative points: I'll start with the room we stayed in and the neighboring ones — the sound insulation is very poor; you can't get any rest at night, as it feels like the windows are always open (the rooms face back a road with constant traffic). Then there's the metalic spiral staircase, which feels like you're climbing into an attic — very uncomfortable and undesirable. And one last thing: I didn't understand why there are no mosquito nets on the windows, especially considering the high number of mosquitoes. Finally, I’d like to mention that the adult pools close at 7:00 PM — exactly when it would be ideal to take a swim and enjoy the moment. This is incomprehensible to me. That being said, it is still a pleasant place, above the average offer in the area.
