Corfu SunGate Hotel

The hotel is in an excellent location—just a short walk from beautiful sights, the beach, shops, and a wide range of restaurants and bars. The food was generally good, though I would have appreciated a bit more variety. That said, you’ll never go hungry. We especially enjoyed the 4 PM snack bar, which offered fries, pizza, hot dogs, gyros, and a selection of fresh fruits—a great treat between meals. The cocktails at the bar were disappointing, but thankfully the bartender mixed a local liqueur Kumquat with Sprite, which ended up saving the day!

Rooms nice and clean with plenty of fresh bed linen and towels. Was all inclusive and found the beer to be very weak with absolutely no taste to it. Food was not too bad. There were snacks available, fruit, hotdogs, sandwiches, cake and chips.

My recent experience at the Corfu SunGate Hotel was very positive. I found the establishment to be well-managed and comfortable. My room was clean, well-maintained, and offered a comfortable space for my stay. The food service at the hotel was good. The variety of dishes available was good, and the quality of the meals was consistently high.

This is my second time at this hotel. After the renovation, the hotel feels even cozier. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive to every detail. The location, close to the beach and the city center, is perfect for an evening walk. The owner is very kind, always strikes up a conversation, and asks if everything is alright. I’ll be happy to return.

We booked from September 10th to September 19th, 2025, with the all-inclusive package and I specifically mentioned my food allergies. We arrived at 2:00 a.m., and at the reception they gave us two plates (our “dinner” – one each) containing food I cannot eat. I let it go. Then we tried the included drinks – ALL of them, even the water, tasted like chlorine. I let it go again. When we entered the room, it looked nothing like the pictures on Booking. Again, I tried to let it go. But then I looked more carefully: • The bathroom was full of mold and dirty • The room itself was dirty • The air conditioning was full of mold • Hair under the sheets and yellow pillows I went to reception, and they said they couldn’t do anything for the night. They only replaced the pillows, giving me two even dirtier ones, one of them with blood on it. We had to sleep in the car because of the mold – I am allergic and didn’t want to risk ending up in the hospital. Meanwhile, I contacted Booking International, and they told me to wait for the manager the following day. At 7:30 a.m., after more than 24 hours without sleep, I met the manager. He offered me what he called a “suite” – in reality, just a family room with the exact same issues as the first one. I declined and asked for a refund. After 4 exhausting hours of discussions between me, the manager, and Booking, I finally got my refund and left immediately. I ran away as fast as I could. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. 1 star only because it’s impossible to give less.
