Excellent stay! We were at the Dulux suite, its around 75 sqm and even has its own office room. The hot tub is a lot of fun and has a great view of the caldera. Supermarket is a 10 minute walk and you have some basic utensils to make food in the spacious kitchen. Eating out in Oia is a very expensive affair. The famous blue dome is a just next to you and castle of Oia/windmill is a 20 minute walk. However some things to note: great location does mean people move around close to your place for photos and privacy is not 100%. I feel this is part of being in Oia, lots of people taking a lot of pictures and you definitely don't feel secluded so be ok saying hello to your neighbor etc. It can get noisy, the dulux suite is bit of a cave so do not expect complete silence. Also interesting fact, all the electricity wires in Oia is run underground so some times we did hear some sounds during the day but nothing unbearable. We went in April, for the price we paid we felt we got an absolute bargain.

We went there for our honeymoon last October. We booked a suite with jetted tub. The room has an incredible view, indeed, from its balcony but we had very little privacy because the balcony is accssible to almost everyone. There were Chinese tourists making selfies all over the place while we were enjoying our outdoors jacuzzi. The place is very difficult to find and it is not easy to get there without a guide from the hotel. We lost a lot of time looking for it and when we reached the reception which is at a different hotel, our guide offered us tap water. For this amount of money we would expect something more. The location is ideal and the view looks exactly like in the pictures, but finally you share it with everyone else who reaches this spot. Also, there is a serious lack of services. I cannot say that there are other hotels nearby that offer something better for this price. Perhaps it is the best value for this amount of money. I just say that Santorini caldera view is finally overpriced and after once or twice of enjoying this incredible sunset we will probably stay with our memories and never visit again!

Without any exaggeration, this was probably the best holiday stay I’ve ever experienced. Of course - part of it is Oia, which is just beyond magical, but the apartment made our holiday absolutely top notch. I dare to say that the view from the terrace is the best you can have from entire Oia. The suite is spacious, kitchen ready, bed very comfortable. The hot tub doesn’t have to be hot at all - you can ask the caretaker Mike to either warm it up or leave it cool, as the days at the terraces of Oia are very warm. Personell is perfect, we’ve been helped with the luggage and provided with the phone to contact front desk (which is at different place) directly. Even though we didn’t needed much of additional service, this could be helpful for some that might do. I guess I can’t use enough of superlatives to make it justice, so I’ll leave it with five stars. We’ll be probably coming back. And not only once. Anyway: be prepared for quite unstable wi-fi connection and cell reception inside the suite (it’s a cave house, after all). As Oia can be overcrowded nightmare, be also ready to be present at a lot of photos of tourists passing by the stairs leading to Chroma Suites, with direct view to the terrace of the appartment.

I wanted to take a picture of the cliff of Oia and suddenly a man of the staff appeared and told me aggressively not to touch the wall next to me, because it was recently painted. I told him ok relax I won't touch it (I was at least one metre away with no intention to go closer) and he told me if you touch it i will force you to paint it again. I asked him what is the name of the hotel and he told me that I shouldn't care and he came to me like he wanted to fight with me. People like him shouldn't work at the tourism industry.

Wonderful view! Employee spoiled it all and you are watched at CCTV! In the beginning, it was very nice. Read at the end, that you are constantly watched by CCTV on your terrace! The woman at the reception was very friendly. The view is so wonderful. You have to walk down some steps from the main road to your apartment. But not too many. Reception is at Armeni Village some hundred meter away. A guy took my baggage and I had to fallow. He didn’t care if I can fallow and because of the many people I had problems to fallow. The smell in the cave-like house is unpleasant and probably the sink leaks. The fridge is VERY annoying because of the noise. It is VERY loud. There is no door for the kitchen or sleeping room. Well, you can unplug it. You can hear the neighbors sometimes. The terrace is shared! That was not clearly recognizable at the time of booking. Your neighbors must walk in front of you to the next room. A half-high wall divides the terrace and in front of the second room is a pool. We thought, the hot tub must be for the other apartment. BUT, on our table inside the apartment is a sign “You are kindly requested not to apply any kind of body cream, oil or sunscreen on your body before entering the hot tub”. OK, so it is for all guests. Wrong. We spent 10 minutes in the hot tub. The guy who carried my baggage showed up and VERY unfriendly he shouted “what are you doing there”. Despite the stupid question he was aggressive and wanted to make trouble. The hot tub would be exclusively for the other guests. He rubbed his finger “you did not pay for it”. I took the sign from the room and asked him why the sign invites guests to use it. He just shouted at us and ignored the sign. Other guests should not share our fate and I asked him to take the sign. He refused to take the sign. We felt bad about the situation and the rest of our holiday we talked about it. He simply ruined our stay. It would have been no problem to say hello, sorry, the pool is for the second room. But no, he instantly shouted at us. How did he know, that we used the pool? Well, you are constantly watched by CCTV on your terrace. How many times people didn’t know that someone is watching? And everyone could make copies of the footage. The cameras could have a “neutral location” or at least, the guest have to know it. The view is 5-star, the room not and what happened to us is inexcusable. Employees of the Chroma Suites / Armeni Village take that stupid sign off the room and stop watching the guests! And think about how some employees treat the guests. We are guests, not filled wallets.
