Arte Hotel

We stayed at this four-star hotel for a week, and I can confidently say it was a complete disappointment. Let’s start with the food – if you’re expecting a taste of Greece, look elsewhere. The menu is painfully repetitive: pasta, chicken, pork. Every. Single. Night. No variety, no effort, no authenticity. The fruit is far from fresh, the desserts are stale, and even the baklava – a staple of Greek cuisine – was soggy and lifeless. The beds were thankfully clean, that’s about the only positive. The floors were never properly cleaned – housekeeping doesn’t vacuum or sweep, they just run a mop over everything and call it a day. Towels were thin, worn-out, and frankly not something you’d want to use. Bring your own. Reception staff were friendly, yes, but ultimately unhelpful. Any issue we had was met with a smile… and zero resolution. The air conditioning broke three or four times during our short stay – and let me remind you, this is in Rhodes, Greece, where the temperatures hover around 33°C with stifling humidity. We couldn’t sleep, couldn’t breathe, and certainly couldn’t enjoy our holiday. This was a complete waste of money. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone – especially not if you’re coming here hoping for a comfortable, authentic Greek island experience. This may be dramatic to most of you, but working so hard for a weeks rest, I expected a little bit more comfort. Do yourself a favor: book elsewhere.

Under our stay we had multiple power outages EVERY night. The fire alarm from our room would go off sometimes up to 4-5 times a day and every time the staff would knock on our door and accuse us of smoking in the room (SPOILER ALERT: we did not) The aircon also made us sick for 3 days of our stay. There are not enough sunbeds by the pool even though there is clearly space for more. Location is very central to everything so that was nice. The staff was also friendly except when they would accuse us of smoking in our room.

Thank you for everything. I will never forget this wonderful hotel. Thanks also to Mailinda for the cleanliness of the room. We cannot enjoy the swimming pool as we have the boat at 11:00

Stayed here in mid June, overall everything was very good including breakfast and friendly staff. One disappointment was that the television in our room was broken and even after mentioning it to the staff at reception nearly everyday, nothing was fixed. They kept promising that maintenance will come to fix it, but they never did. Very disappointing as there could’ve been a solution to this problem like moving us to a different room if the television can’t be fixed as it was included in the amenities in the room. Although staff was very friendly and seemed to care about the issue, they kept apologizing and promising to fix it but issue was never fixed.

So to make a long story short - DO NOT STAY HERE ! We stayed here for 6 nights thinking it would be pleasant but with a banging noise outside the room the two first nights at 7 a.m we thought to differ. They were doing this work right outside our room so we could even feel the vibration of the hammers keeping us up all morning. Not to forget the power went off like 4-6 times a day for sometimes hours and to compensate for this they decided to have a pool party 11 am waking us up! We were just trying to catch up some sleep for these other nights. We thought to ourselves that now at this time there can’t be anything putting this hotel lower that it already is. But fire enough the A/C stopped working the two lasts nights leaving us in sweat and not sleeping in response to this they told us they were fixing it which they clearly did not as the control room for this was not inspected properly at all. We also were told that they would bring fans and after going down to the lobby 4 times we had to bring it up ourselves after an mediocre service by the staff there. So I know in response to this the hotel is going to have a preset message that is just going to try diverting our meaning that this hotel is NO WORTH STAYING AT and I cannot believe this is stated as 4 stars. So please trust me and do not stay here cause looking at other reviews this is not the first time it’s like this and no excuse from this hotel will change that !
