Avalon Palace Hotel

Hotel is lovely, pretty quiet so very relaxing, great view by the pool. Location - the hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the main square in the town. It is downhill on the way there but you do have to walk small sections on the road due to there being no footpath. This might not be suitable for families or those not used to doing a-lot of walking. Breakfast - opens at 8am (would have been a lot better if it opened earlier due to trips and early starts etc) and personally couldn’t fault it, lots of variety and pretty good quality food. Yoghurt and pancakes with loads of toppings available also. Not really sure why people are slating the breakfast in other reviews. Room - we had a double with a sea view and the view is incredible, worth the extra money. Only thing we could fault was that the mattress was a bit on the firm side (fine for us but maybe not for everyone). Staff - all friendly with us. Katerina on reception was really good at recommending beaches and places to go! Didn’t have many requests but anything we asked they helped out with!

Spectacular staff, Zoe on front desk provided impeccable service and greeted with a very warm welcome upon my evening arrival. Alex from the bar restaurant has been absolutely wonderful with a warm smile and great service always.

We had an amazing holiday at the hotel. Our room was clean, the view from our balcony was really beautiful, we could choose from delicious meals every day. The staff was very helpful and kind to us, they helped us with everything. So all in all, I would highly recommend this hotel for an amazing holiday. :)

We just spent 5 days at the Avalon for our honeymoon— we couldn’t be happier! We got the room with a private pool, and spent a few wonderful evenings watching the sunset over the water from our patio. The daily breakfast was lovely and the staff (at the restaurant and front desk) were helpful and kind. The hotel is about a mile from the port and we walked a couple of times, but mostly we stayed in (even got room service!) or drove to our adventures. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
