Ruby Rooms Athens

I had a disappointing experience with Ruby Rooms Athens. I booked and prepaid to support my Schengen visa application, but when the consulate attempted to verify my stay by contacting the hotel, they received no response. This lack of communication led to my visa being refused, causing unnecessary stress and financial loss. Reliable communication is essential, especially for international travelers needing verification. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone.

We spent thee days in this hotel and it was a positive experience except a few details. The building is extremely clean and tidy , the staff was very helpful and ready to help us and answer any questions about Athens , best spots to visit, where to go.. The room was very big and cozy and most important it was very clean. The location was just 200m away from the metro station, something that made it very easy for us to travel everywhere every day. Our only complaint is that there’s no breakfast area and the breakfast is served in your room if you ask it and it was just standard. It was a toast with bread and cheese and one juice and one coffee with one chocolate croissant. Enough , but i have seen better breakfasts in almost every hotel i have been. Our second complaint was that the shower was not existent and it was just a shower head in the corner of the “bathroom” right next to the toilet. Every time we took shower , all the room ended up being a big pond and we had to leave the door open for everything to get dry after the water would go down the drain. The third thing that bothered us was that the rooms had terrible sound proof and we could hear all the noises from the floor rooms and even from the upper floor rooms. And the last complaint was that the room had no curtains so we had to close the balcony door and use the lights every time. The hotel is excellent if you want a clean and tidy place to rest at night for your next adventure and you are the type of person that spent as little time in the hotel as possible and just uses the hotel as a place of rest for the next day. But only for this. It’s obvious that the hotel is functioning as a short stay place , most of the times a single night stay and nothing more. But everything was clean and new and tidy and the personnel amazing and that is a plus.

The most important part about this hotel is how helpful and polite the staff is. For example, they helped us with transport and to print documents. Additionally, the room was very clean and nice decorated. The only issue was that ruby rooms was about 30min away from the center of Athens, but thankfully there was a metro station close by.

Very cozy experience and nice staff. Complementary breakfast was very good.

We stop one night for our trip and we found an amazing room for good price. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, especially Nadia the receptionist. She is amazing! She went to find almond milk for breakfast to accomodate me because I'm vegan :) really good customer service!
