Casa Dei Venti Corfu

My partner and I stayed here in July 25 and we had a lot of mixed thoughts. The room was smaller than expected but clean and had a lovely view from the balcony. However, the balcony is shared with 3 other rooms, there is definitely over 80 steps just to the first floor and it’s sat on a main road with no footpaths. They also have their housekeeping clean in the middle of the night and the walls have no noise suppression so all you hear is banging, scraping, talking and loud music. However, The beach is only a 2 min walk away and we were the usually left alone there and often caught the 06 bus to the top of town where the people were so friendly and overall welcoming. I can’t say the same for the people closer to the accommodation tho. Quite often we got stared, pointed and laughed at just for sitting on a bus or at the beach. People don’t bother to slow down and drive extremely close as well as beep as you walk on the side of the road (no footpaths). And there’s 100 reviews on here talking about boat trips and pools that the accommodation DO NOT offer. the receptionist was often dismissive and stubborn. They also charge 5 euro a day for aircon whether you use it or not + tourist tax. Conclusion is, the room and the view is lovely but if you want a holiday with no hassle get a hotel closer to town as you’ll end up spending most your time there anyways.

Amazing view. 120 steps to apartment. Basic apartment but clean. Not advisable to people with mobility issues.

The balcony view was beautiful, room was nice, we had two rooms for two families & both rooms were nice and clean. Air conditioning works well in both rooms and can be left running when you go out if you leave the electric thing in. Has fridge everything including oven was perfect for my 4 day stay. It is right opposite the road from the beach. The only downside is there was no lift so it was very difficult for us as we stayed with strollers and kids so that was difficult but apart from that i definitely recommend a stay the people were super friendly aswell.

It's basic, but if all your after is a bed and shower, then it's perfect, but it's got 87 steps up to it !!! balconies with fantastic views. 20-minute walk to town, it's a busy road but if you walk on the beach side there's more room. Mosquitoes are not just here ! They are all over the island but if you buy a bug spray at 1 of the supermarkets its OK. We shut the window and sprayed our room, and went out to dinner. Absolutely fine at night . Owner was so helpful and we had use of the Aurora hotel with a pool but it's about 1/2 hr walk. Owner also organised a hire car for us.

Without a doubt, the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in on vacation. I would never go back there. They gave us the wrong room, a smaller one, and wouldn't let us switch until the next day. The room had dead beetles on the floor, there was no hot water, the shower was dirty, and the fridge had rusty shelves. It was a nightmare, and we paid for a room in another hotel that night because it was disgusting. The next day they "compensated" us with a free breakfast and moved us to the correct room, which was slightly better, but it was clear that it had not been renovated in years and there were also dead insects. They never refunded us for the first night. A very bad experience.
