Описание

A century-old building in central Athens transformed into a boutique hotel

Asomaton ( = without a body ) has been three years in the making. The building was made from wood and stone in the early 1900's, initially to function as a carriage wheel repair shop. It went on to become an elegant townhouse but has been abandoned for the last 20 years, so in close collaboration with the Greek Ministry of Culture this listed building has been transformed into a Boutique Hotel.

Historical essence blends with a contemporary outlook; the building’s original stone has been carefully refinished, an indoor swimming pool was created; it is located very close to the Acropolis with amazing views from the terrace. New York based Greek artist Philip Tsiaras hosts his pop-artworks onsite.

A wide selection of room types means you will be able to find the ideal one for you. Our Compact Rooms come at more economical prices, our Lofts offer a diverse experience of stay, while our spacious Suites will satisfy those seeking for more spacious rooms.

Asomaton by Oniro Hotel is a perfect choice for a stay in Athens. Don't be irritated when you see it from the outside because it is a hidden gem inside. Enjoy the breakfast on the roof top terrace with a few at the Acropolis ... and than explore Monastiraki or the area around the Acropolis with Plaka during the day and Psiri with all the restaurants and bars in the evening. The metro station Thisio is around the corner or Monastiraki 7 minutes walking distance. The staff is always friendly and helping you wherever they can. Rooms are very spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The only thing that had not worked out a 100 % was the breakfast service. If there are many guests at the same time you may wait a bit because the kitchen where they prepare everything fresh is small. But the breakfast is excellent. If you expect a big buffet, you are at the wrong place. But if you prefer a fresh made breakfast you are definitely in the right place. I now have definitely a second hotel I can recommend in Athens and I would go there again 100%.

Amazing service and hotel! Breakfast is served on the rooftop with a stunning view of the Parthenon. We stayed here for the last night of our honeymoon and it was perfect. Staff is so sweet and friendly and arranged our taxi to the hotel, which was early too. Perfect location as well with an easy walk over to the historic sites. Highly recommend staying here!

Stayed here with my partner for 4 nights and we absolutely loved it. The location is fantastic - only a 5 minute walk from the shops and restaurants. The roof top terrace has amazing views of the Acropolis and other historical sites. The room was spacious and clean, and we loved the overall style of the hotel. Breakfast is included in the price which includes a 'starter' tray of croissants, pastries, ham, cheese and breads, fruit juice, coffee/tea, a choice of yogurt bowl (try the Acai) and then a choice of 'main' from the cooked options. You can have breakfast in the poolside lobby, in your room, or on the roof terrace - it really was special. The best part was the friendly and helpful staff. They did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and easy, and my main thanks go to them. I could not recommend this place enough!

We absolutely loved our stay in Athens at this beautifully located hotel. The breakfast on the terrace with a view of the Acropolis was exceptional — as delicious as it was visually stunning, and very generous. The location is perfect, right in the heart of a lively neighborhood with many excellent restaurants nearby. The staff were incredibly attentive throughout our stay — a special thank you to Maria and Sara for their kindness and care. The hotel’s decor is stylish, and the terrace offers a breathtaking view of the Acropolis. A small note for light sleepers: the metal staircase structure can sometimes echo a bit, but it didn’t bother us much.
