Taste of Athens returns to the emblematic Athenian venue of Zappeion, in a summer festival mood full of taste, fun and delight, highlighting the role of Athens and Greece as a global gastronomic destination. 

Acclaimed restaurants, all-star chefs, flavor-packed dishes, immersive experiences and an exciting music and entertainment program complete the festival 'menu', while this year’s event highlights the themes of circular economy, zero-waste philosophy, and gender-balanced representation in the culinary scene.

For four flavour-packed days from 07th to 10th of July 2022, on Zappeion’s open-air space, Athens’ ten iconic restaurants (including those with Michelin stars) will set up their pop-up version to serve their exclusive tasting menu and offer some of their signatures dishes at affordable prices (3, 6, 9 and 12 Euros) with gastronomic flair that perfectly captures Athens’ rise as an exceptional international gastronomic destination.

The fun epicentre of this year’s Festival is the Entertainment Stage with surprise live acts from favorite artists and uplifting DJ sets. Enjoy the elegant soft voice of Rena Morfi on Thursday, the jazzy sound of The Swingin’ Cats on Friday evening, the non-stop energy of the Onirama band on Saturday and the unexpected melodies of Marina Satti on Sunday, as well as DJ Sets from En Lefko 87.7 every afternoon, from Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th of July!

The impressive Zappeion Atrium is transformed into a luxurious VIP Business Lounge by AEGEAN Airlines. Guests opting for the VIP tickets will enjoy Taste of Athens with some VIP treatment on the side, including a welcome drink & treats, personal service, exclusive happenings and many more.
 
At the Taste Theater by Grundig | Kotsovolos, visitors will have the privilege of mingling with the star chefs themselves, watching them cook their signature dish recipes and taking part in tasting events and cocktail master classes held by acclaimed mixologists. During the Taste Talks sessions, they will learn the secrets of sustainable cooking, zero food waste recipes, the latest gastronomy trends and many more inspiring stories by experts.

Little foodies will have a dedicated safe space in the Kids Zone, with a fun-packed program of educational, creative and interactive sessions led by experienced professionals, so every family member can truly enjoy the festival. The enhanced program includes educational and creative sessions by Nannuka & Organization Earth, fun games, special lunch boxes and many more surprises for our little visitors!

Taste of Athens 2022 Info

Taste of Athens will take place from 07th to 10th of July 2022, at the outdoor space of the Zappeion Megaron in the centre of the City of Athens.

• On Thursday July 7th and Friday July 8th, doors open for the dinner slot from 19:00 to 23:00.
• n the weekend, Taste of Athens will operate 2 slots per day: lunch from 12:00 to 16:00 and dinner from 19:00 to 23:00.

Festival entry tickets are on sale for each 4-hour slot, as follows:

• Regular 10€, early-bird until 07/06 and 12€ as of 08/06
  Including a 3€ dish voucher and access in Taste Theatre, Live Entertainment Stage including the live acts & DJ Sets, Kids Zone και Branded Experiences.
• VIP 30€, early-bird until 07/06, and 35€ as of 08/06 
  Includes access to the VIP Area, a welcome drink & treat, a 9€ dish voucher, access in Taste Theatre, Live Entertainment Stage including the live acts & DJ Sets, Kids Zone και Branded Experiences.
• A special ALL-DAY Pass is also available, for the double (lunch/dinner) slots during the weekend, as well as GROUP Tickets, while kids under 6 are free of charge! Tickets are also available at the box office on site.
