Portarathlon 2023

The Portarathlon sports event returns for the fifth time on 17 & 18 May 2023 at the Municipal Stadium of Naxos. 

Named after the Portara (Naxos’ famous archaeological monument that greets visitors arriving by boat), the Portarathlon has captured the imagination of the local and international sporting community as one of the seven similar annual events combining track & field worldwide. This year’s event has already attracted a significant number of foreign and Greek participants.

The two-day event includes a Decathlon for men and Heptathlon for women, and also includes the National Championship of Combined Men’s and Women’s Events for local competitors.

The weekend of May 17 & 18 is an amazing opportunity for sports lovers who are in Naxos, and all sports lovers generally, who wish to enjoy an athletic spectacle combined with Naxos’ idyllic scenery and warm hospitality.
