International Kalampaka-Trikala Half Marathon

The International Kalambaka-Trikala Half Marathon is an annual event held in memory of runner Thanasis Stamopoulos and is now one of the country’s largest half marathons, gathering thousands of runners from all over Greece and abroad, including many professionals. 

On race day, thousands of runners gather at the start of the race under the imposing Meteora rocks, which are a UNESCO World Heritage site. The total distance of the route is 21,097 meters (official measurement by AIMS), starting in Kalambaka and finishing in Trikala, following an asphalt road with a slight downhill gradient. 

The start time is 10am from the central square of Kalambaka (here).

In addition to the half marathon, there are also races over the following distances:

5km race
This category allows younger or less trained runners to take part in a less demanding route. Participants start from the central square of Trikala and, after heading towards Kalambaka, turn around and finish at the starting point.

Children's Race 1km
This race is for children from 9 to 14 years old and offers them the joy of participating over a short distance. The runners start and end in the central square of Trikala.

REGISTRATION
Entries will be accepted up to Monday 26 February 2023.
The children's race does not require registration.

For the Half Marathon: 18€ (individual registration), 15€ (group registration - more than 5 people).

For the 5km race: 15€ (individual registration), 12€ (group registration - over 5 people)
