"Giselle" at the Herod Atticus Odeon

A majestic classical ballet performance is coming to the Herod Atticus Odeon. The full complement of the ballet and orchestra of the National Opera of Odessa, with 150 participants, is coming to Athens as part of its European tour, which started in Holland in July, and will present Adolph Adam’s masterpiece, Giselle.

Giselle is one of the most popular works with emotional swings, ideal choreographic openings and makes great demands on the dancers as regards technique. This is also perhaps the unique achievement of the Romantic period to reach our times without losing a trace of its power. The ballet and orchestra of the National Opera of Odessa, with 150 participants, is coming to Athens to present us Giselle.
