Athens – Epidaurus Festival 2023

The Athens Epidaurus Festival celebrates its 68th anniversary this year with an inspiring programme of events from June 1 to August 26. As always, artistic productions and site-specific performances will be held at some of the most iconic and atmospheric locations in Athens and Epidaurus.

As Greece's leading cultural institution and one of Europe's oldest festivals, the Athens Epidaurus Festival hosts an impressive roster of distinguished music, opera, dance and theatre artists from around the world, collaborating with renowned Greek and international organisations and attracting significant audiences worldwide.

Highlight performances for the 2023 Athens Epidaurus Festival include:

• Madama Butterfly from the Greek National Opera
• Opera Gala with Roberto Alagna, Aleksandra Kurzak and the Athens Municipal Symphony Orchestra 
• Nabuko an opera by Verdi from the Greek National Opera.
