The International Aegean Sailing Rally, the oldest and most prestigious sailing event in Greece, will be held from 21 - 31 July, celebrating its 60th anniversary.
The Aegean Rally is a series of three or four offshore races, starting in Faliro, immediately below the Averoff battleship (as it has done since the battleship began operating as a maritime museum).
It usually includes intermediate stops at Aegean islands (this year Syros and Ios) and this year’s competition will end in Sounion , southeast of Athens.
Although the International Aegean Sailing Rally is only for professionals, it is always a hit with onlookers. Anyone with an interest in yachts and sailing is invited to watch from Faliro, Syros, Ios and Sounion.
