Famous artists and seventeen Greek and international productions, covering all genres of art, make up the program of this year's 57th Dimitria Festival, which starts on 1 October and ends on 20 October, in Thessaloniki.

The Festival will host, among others, the award-winning director Thomas Ostermeier, the very important and renowned young writer Édouard Louis in his autobiographical on stage testimony with the performance "Qui a tué mon père", while a special moment will be the presentation of "Tempest Project", the last performance of what has been called "the greatest director the world has ever seen", Peter Brook, who recently passed away in July 2022. This year's Dimitria Festival will close with a concert by two-time Oscar-winning film music composer Alexandre Desplat, who will conduct the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra in a program of his own compositions. The concert is a collaboration between the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra and the Thessaloniki Concert Hall.

The Dimitria Festival is also collaborating with Stegi of the Onassis Foundation, MoMus, the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Contemporary Music Lab of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Ephorate of Antiquities of Thessaloniki and the Thessaloniki Short Film Festival, which this year will be online.
