Land of the Gods

It was my first time in Halkidiki, the summer of 2004, when I realized I landed in a legendary realm. It was in the breathtaking landscapes, the warm-hearted people I met everywhere, the timeless sun-burnt cheeks of the restless fishermen, the priceless silence of the secluded beaches of Sithonia, that made me come back each year. It was the same reason me and my husband decided to have our wedding there as if we felt that doing so would make us true citizens of our dear Hellas. Thank you, Halkidiki for being my sunny muse, I hope you'll never change! PS: Looking forward for the butterflies in my stomach when I pass Thessaloniki knowing I only have one hour until we meet again <3
